I saw a site that had tilted logos, I really liked it, and I tried to copy the style as best I could for the House shields. Now some people are saying they want theirs straight. For design reasons I'd prefer the shields all tilted or all straight, to establish a consistent look. So here's your poll. Annexis isn't in here because I hate the way theirs turned out and I'm going to have to remake it sometime.
Would you prefer I removed the border and designs from it and just kept the red, the blue, and the skull? I actually like Mortis better than Kalir and only made Kalir as it is because I couldn't find a good border to copy from, but if you prefer it I'll strip it down.
In part, that might be because the skull, at least, IS pixelated... and for that, you have no one to blame but me. I made that skull for the arms of the Line of Mortis, in the good old days when Paint was good enough for computer-based art.
I like the turned design, it looks a lot more professional to me.
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).
If you remove the black border from around the outside of the skull it will not pixelate when reduced and placed on the face of the shield. Note that the mountains in Kalir's shield are not pixelated - because they don't have an outlining border. Also convert it to greyscale before resizing it for the shield, since the reduction will tend to mesh the colors are the edges of the black and white, resulting in grey areas. By confining it to greyscale, you won't get the mix of additional colors that make the small skull look screwy.
Oh ye who torments me in dreams of dark abysses, beware the sleeping shadow, for it is a bane like no other...
