Kaiserial plan of action

1. Session of the Landsraad is ended.
2. A new session is called. (Ayreonic Session of Emergency)
3. Dukes elect a prætor for the session.
4. Duke elect a steward.
5. Session ended.
6. A new session is called (Standing session)
7. Dukes elect a new prætor, kaiserial recommendation is Lord Kildare.

No need IMO. People are going to need a couple of days for deciding if they want to be Steward and for campaigning and such anyway... we can just freewheel and not be bothered with actual Landsraad functions until Jonas returns.
No-one should be without a parasol, Sirocco.

If you do this then technically Jonas' reign is broken and he can't be the longest continually serving Praetor ever. I implore you ... just wait for his return! For the sake of pointless Kildarian records!

Amend the Procedures to allow you to appoint a Prætor Pro Tempore when the Prætor is away.

I happen to agree that Jonas should not be replaced as Praetor. He will return in a few days now--I think he said the 24th. That is only 2 days more, so he will have no official break in his service to the country. A Praetor pro tempore might make more sense if he were to be gone much longer, but he stated it would be this weekend.

Couldn't the LR just amend the procedures and appoint an Acting/Deputy/Whatever Prætor?

Btw. Why did you need a Praetor? I didn't see any topics with enough votes or where the debate was ended... :kaiser
