Bayen!
Let's try the same thing with you that I tried with Corey. In the hypothetical case that you wanted a county in Straylight, what kind of things would you want to do with it? Just give me some random ideas or keywords... I want to see if I can come up with anything to match it.

Let's see... hypothetical... in Toketi, I had a typical fantasy realm of treehouses with a flying magical academy as my duchy before I was King, so, if I get a chance to have a new area, I think it might be fun to do an about face and have a chrome paradise of technological superiority... something like Trantor or Coruscant, maybe (except not a planet, obviously... just an uber-urban area.) That type of thing.

Indeed. Backbone Site is one of the places in Straylight that I'm not happy with... you can pretty much consider the whole wiki page to be noncanon. However, I really would appreciate it if you could work in the basic ideas...
- that it's a center of information networking... you know, with an IXP or two in it
- that it's one of the more violently libertarian/anarchistic places around. How that goes together with people trusting their information networking to it is up to you to decide
- as a result of the last two things, it's going to have neat things like copyright-free libraries and such in it (and you can write about the strife that'd cause with the rest of the planet)
- it is the source and presumed current location of some kind of a sinister superintelligent AI... thing... that's lying low for some reason (I think a good way to do this would be to just say it was programmed to "act human" but everything else was left unspecified).
- there is, or used to be, some kind of an economic underclass that "specialises" in recycling electronic waste. Think of something like Guiyu here. It might be best to put this somewhere else, but I want it somewhere in Straylight, and it'd kind of go well together with Backbone Site thematically.

Cool.
(By the way, anarchy is not the opposite of trust, it is the epitome, at least by my philosophical standards. The only reason that masses allow governments to rule over them is because they don't trust each other enough to live in a world without rules. They can have copyright free libraries and such because the writers trust no one to steal their work. It's like the open source community!
)
So yeah, looks like lots of room for fun...
