At 1600hrs Colonel Shergill of the 1st Strategic Bombardment Squadron, Elwynnbrigaden, received the coded instructions issued by General Headquarters authorising an immediate launch. The authorisation, issued by the Khan from his Command Train, presently at Kingsgate, arrived seperately. Colonel Shergill followed the established protocol and upon confirming the authenticity of the launch order together with Major Ackbar. This being done the pair authorised the transmition of the launch order to the subordinate launch teams The Squadron's network hub, lodged inside a OAH Atar specially adapted for the purpose, forwared the firing instructions as flash traffic to the four OAH Fajr launchers. Each launcher was remotely controlled by a networked Atar attached to each launch troop. The officer in charge of each troop rechecked the launch order in accordance with protocol before inserting their keys and at 1605hrs initiated the launch of the V2-Shahab missile carried in their launcher.
All four missiles were hurtled skywards by firing ther first stage boost motors.
About 60 seconds after launch, the 1st stage motors dropped off and the second stage motors ignited.
About 120 seconds after launch, the third stage motors ignited and separated from the 2nd stage. The missile shroud is ejected.
About 180 seconds after launch, third stage thrust terminated and the re-entry vehicles containing the warhead separated from the rockets.
The vehicles manouvered temselves and prepares for re-entry.
The vehicles re-entered the atmosphere at phenomenally high speeds and are armed in flight.
The warheads proceed onwards on their trajectory towards their intended targets where they will airburst. The warhead contains a slurry of ammonium nitrate, aluminium powder and polystyrene, equalling 2,700 kg as well as 500 kg of conventional high explosives and is detonated just above ground level by timer or a fail safe proximity fuse.
Regrettably the Zjandarians had yet to perfect the art of installing multiple re-entry vehicles onto a single rocket and were unlikely too until such time as they were able to complete the reverse engineering of some Zemlyan designs that had been 'acquired' via Karnalian intermediaries.
As it was however the four warheads that were lofted skywards had the potential to cause quite enough mayhem to keep those on the receving end fairly busy.

Their mission complete Colonel Shergill ordered the launchers to pack up their gear and move to the new dispersed positions. That being done he settled down with Major Ackbar together with a bottle of decent malt to welcome in the dirty infidels new year.
