Countessial Directive I

Post by Allot »

Is this how I do it? Eldynuil? Oh well, I'll make it up I guess:

Araxion Freedom of Character(s) Act
Henceforth any and all characters in Araxion shall have the right to not be molested, controlled, or forced to say anything that their real life controller would not want them to say by another real life person. This includes, but is not limited to:

a) indirect speech
Example wrote:Isabelle shouted mean things at the sheeplet.
Now why would you assume she would do that?

b) actions
Example wrote:Isabelle stormed out of the tent.
Really? How do you know she's not done talking to you yet?

c) feelings
Example wrote:Isabelle was angry.
HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW?
Schedule of Untouchable Characters:
Andrew Allot
Isabelle Allot
Eldynuil
The Gnomes
Exceptions may be made for the following characters, since they are quasi-flat and static: Steve, Steve, Steve, Albert*, Igor

*Please use caution when controlling Albert, try to stay in his general character.

Angsty teens tend to do that so I apologize if I assumed too much my dear.

Well I would be if some one told me to go sell my body. Either that or you enjoy it!

Those were just examples that I made up on the spot, I have no idea what you're on about.
And remember what I said about being people's dear.
I borrowed the Compendium of Revenge Tactics Volume VIII from the Khan. It's quite detailed. :knife

Let's see...section B, chapter 5....

It says a sword is acceptable...ah, but since I warned you previously, it says I may also substitute a spiked flail if I wish. Hmm....

RolePlay Academy wrote:Metagaming is the act of over-reaching the bounds of the character. Past the introduction, given that a player controls only their own character, any changes to environment or plot occur as perceptions of that character. Metagaming, then, is overstepping a character’s perceptions and tapping into the knowledge and power of the player (who knows more and can do more). This can either be used correctly, or incorrectly, with an incredibly fine line between the extremes.

Incorrect (read: wholly unacceptable) uses of metagaming are generally deemed Godmoding. Here the player assumes a level of control far above and beyond what the other players have agreed to use. Examples of godmoding include, but are not limited to, speaking/acting for others’ characters, directly describing the damage (physical or emotional) caused to others’ characters, giving one’s own character godlike/super powers without due explanation, acting (inexplicably) off of others’ characters’ thoughts, matching a character’s strengths to others’ characters’ weaknesses, etc.

Note to Angsty Anarchical Shirithians: Only posted for reference, no intention of implementation of the above.
