Capital

Dear Elirians and Utasians,

We don't have a capital. Because! Because our duke took Eliria, our capital, and made it Wintergleamish. Sooo... I'd say that 50 percent of Eliria-Utasia's population is gone :(

There is a city in the south, Islus (The Sluice), we could use.

I'm sure there are other cities in our county. I'll need to come up with some names. As this county was the Elvish heartland, maybe they would have Elvenesque names. I dunno. Thoughts?

Well, I would be willing to return the City of Eliria to your county.

That would be great, thanks!

I'll erect Harald's Bridge between our two counties in honour of your generosity. They don't call you the Generous Giver without reason!

You're welcome.

BTW since when is Eliria the Capital of Elwynn?

For as long as I can remember. Scott might know more... since he founded the duchy.

Are there still any elves living here? (Returned after the end of Ardashir's rule perhaps?)

Not in Eliria, perhaps, but the Count of Illumination invited the Elfinshi to return to Elwynn in Phoenix Forest. There's a story in Illumination about it, and the Count wrote a poem about it. I'll show you:

Here lies a grave, not touched before,
here lies a dagger, to settle the score
Humans and elves, not made to dwell,
With each other it seemed,
for the others blood the ground now screamed,
dead are the bodies, gone are the souls,
the tales now gone, the legends not told

Yet hope anewed has come to pass,
the sand falls down the hour glass,
Doom to all! Destruction reign!

The Ardashir, never seen again!

Rebel the elves, and humans alike!
Take up your arms, resume the strife!

Take the city, seize it's throne!
Reclaim the land, take back your home!
This soul now haunt you, forever more,
Until you come, and settle this score

A very nice poem indeed. :)

Yes, it is. A talented young man. We should try and have him return here, for him to continue his stories. Have a look in the Illumination forum and you'll see some stories as well as the Phoenix Forest one (collaborated).

Some perfect pieces of culture.

Indeed.

Perhaps the YAC could annex him? ;-)

Haha, or we invite him :)

That is a good idea. I believe he has returned to micronationalism. You may invite him if you would like.

Then I will, my Lord!

We also should invite the elves back into the rest of Froyalan. :)

(Though I recognize there are certain parts of Froyalan they for "historic" might tend to avoid.) :D

:D

Well... the Elfinshi population (those who survived) escaped to Amity and Mirioth. Their Angel Guardian XCIII has vowed to never let the Elfinshi return as long as Ardashir remains in their old homelands... So it I suppose it's a bit difficult ;)

Well, he isn't here now. :D (Angel Guardian XCIII I mean.)

No, but I hope he does return. He said he'd consider it when his finals are completed.
