I mean, I hate Alan Turing and John von Neumann a lot. I loathe Alonzo Church and despise George Boole, and George Codd and Ron Rivest and speaking of Rivest, Whitfield Diffie and Martin Hellman too. I hate Alan Kay and Luca Cardelli equally, but then again I also hate Niklaus Wirth and John McCarthy equally so that's not really saying much. I hate Edsger Dijkstra and Donald Knuth and C.A.R. Hoare and Gilbert and Johnson and Keerthi and everyone else who's ever come up with an algorithm that you can run on a computer. I even have a little bit of hate for bit players like Tim Berners-Lee, though at least I can be fairly certain my children won't have to learn about OWL in school. But Claude Shannon?
