I am currently collecting a timeline of events on Micras (mostly Shirithian, but also things like the rise and fall of the GC) related to Straylight (mostly in the sense of "they had nothing to do with us, but you could say the effects were felt here, too"). My plan is to eventually join the entire history of this whole area into asingle fictional narrative that combines both my "old ideas" and "new ideas". Oh, and I'm throwing out the idea about time passing at a different rate in Straylight. It was simply too insane. This means that I've got about 2076 years of history to consider, or about 4550 when you consider the Khaz-Modani connection.

I'm not sure if ten years is enough for this.

It would be interesting to say the least.

One thing I can remember is this Isle of Sago thing. How did that affect Straylight?

Scott's history places the foundation of Straylight at "circa 8.4.2002"... hm... I think it was a month earlier or so, at least, considering that I was coronated as Ari 0 on 17.3.2002, and I'm quite confident I'd already founded Straylight by then..

My usual method in those histories if I couldn't find the actual founding post was to find the first post I could that mentioned the subdivision existing and then put "circa" in front of its date. So your memory is most likely correct.

SHIREKEEP, SHIREROTH - The succession of weak Kaisers and Stewards has been broken with the return of Erik Metzler in the form of Kaiser Mors I.
Mors, short for Mortis Mercator (which roughly translates "Merchant of Death") appeared Sunday morning and quickly put down the Yardistani revolt by cowing them by presenting an ancient Shirerothian relic. He then went on a mad decreeing spree, including but not limited to a decree to kick all foreign (which means the Tymarian government and other Tymarian states) armies out of Shireroth, a decree to make James "Fax Celestis" the new heir, a decree taking Shireroth unilaterally out of the Hegemony of Alexandros, a decree to create a new Duchy, Straylight, for former Kaiser Ari Rahikkala, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. He also shook the House of Nations up by proposing that Shireroth get a second seat (see next article) and shook up Babkha by telling them they had to stop their recwar against the Shireroth territory of South Mondesia.

Straylightian decrees, prosumably in County of Straylight. Mostly lost to history now.
Decree numbering was about how decrees would get negative numbers for now, and if I ever lose my place in the decrees again they'd get numbers of the form a+n where a is an appropriately chosen arbitrary integer and k the actual number of the decree since the latest time the numbering began again.
Flag was about the flag that's still the flag of Straylight.
Currency was about the Straylightian currency, the Piece o' Nift (usually abbreviated PON, or just called pon). One Piece o' Nift is approximately worth one profound-sounding Latin saying.
