Nice picture. Looks like you had a great time. We Californians are reduced to making snow for our ski runs this winter. We had 11 inches in October, which has all melted, and nothing since. At least it's cold enough in the Sierras for man-made snow. Maybe next winter.......

I would love to see a white Christmas once in my life........(hard to do in the SF Bay Area, where a cold night might hit 30 degrees Fahrenheit.)

I live in barely Southeast PA, and I haven't seen a white Christmas since I was 2-ish...

Well, that shoots down one of my preconceptions. I thought everything east of the Mississippi and north of the Mason-Dixon Line got snow every winter.

We usually do get snow at least once a year here (me being only a bit south of the Mason-Dixon line)... just not on Christmas. Most years it's concentrated more in January. But as for white Christmases, I haven't seen one of those in years either... rain, sometimes, but generally little snow.

There have been at least 5 winters without measurable snow in my life that I can remember here. We usually get something sometime, but hardly ever over the winter holiday...

We get snow regularly on the ridges above 1000 feet and on the mountains, but we mortals down near sea level rarely see it. The one exception was two winters ago when, over the space of three weeks we got snow around the bay area even on the beaches, and people were sledding down the hills of San Francisco. It was amazing watching locals sliding around on the roads, not knowing how to deal with ice on the roads.
