Limericks have a set form--5 lines, of which 1, 2, and 5 rhyme, anhd 3 and 4 rhyme. The meter is like this: DA DAda, DA DAda, DA DA; DA DAda, DA DAda, DA DA; DA DAda DA DA; DA DAda DA DA; DA DAda, DA DAda, DA DA. Some have an extra syllable at the end of the line.
