Yes, all that and more. I'll begin crafting the general storyline soon, perhaps incorporating elements from Old Byzantia. Currently I am pondering whether Illumination is best a republic or a constitutional monarchy. Moreover, the idea of an absolutist but wise and benevolent monarch is appealing, and I am considering it too. While it is obviously unrealistic, this is a fantasy nation so perhaps the monarch could be those things--the result of, perhaps, one of his ancestors being a (good) Shirerithian demigod.
