Milord Baron,

Pursuant to your order, we have located four misplaced Gentlemen Cudgelers within the County. For reasons quite personal (and embarrassing), these Gentlemen earnestly resist removal from the County, and have begged leave to enter our service, and thus, of course, yours.

Therefor, we have re-Envisioned these Gentlemen as our personal guards. Their Cudgeles have been re-Envisioned as Staves of Office, and shall henceforth represent your authority and ours.

I have received certain freely given donations from these Gentlemen, which, at their request, a significant portion is forwarded to you under separate cover.

One of these Gentlemen will double as my food-taster, at his earnest request.

We hope these actions find your favor.
