Immigration Application

Post by Gareth Arthur »

Legal name:
Gareth Arthur

Age:
I am over the age of 13.

Contact:
My e-mail address is gareth.arthur@gmail.com.

Citizenship:
No, I am not a citizen of another micronation.

Background information:
I've participated in a micronation before so this isn't my first experience at this but that was some time ago and I have not been involved with micronations since then. I'm happy to start fresh in a new MN.

I'm from Virginia in the United States (which of course means that I reside in in the eastern time zone/UTC-5).

Preferred duchy of residence:
I've read the descriptions of the various Duchies on the Wiki and to be honest, I'm still undecided. With that said, I suppose that I will go to whichever Duchy has the fewest citizens (I'm friendly like that).

Other:
I'm looking forward to becoming a part of Shireroth. If you require any further information, please ask me for it.

Welcome to Shireroth, Gareth! Your application is approved!

I'm happy that you already took some time to learn about the several Duchies of the Imperial Republic. As Dutch (Duke) of Kildare I recommend you to join the Dutchy of Kildare. We have sunny beaches, vast fields and wispy mountains. And the best of all: we still have one Barony (Lumina's Light) without a Baron! :document
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Whatever happened to the sale of that Barony?

Never got sold, so I'm free to do what I want with it. :document

Both Kildare and Yardistan have slowly dwindling populations, so I'd recommend one of these.

Brookshire was recently partitioned, also, and are just a bit short.

Goldshire currently has an open barony as well, as far as I know, but they seem to have a fair number of citizens to fill in.

Elwynn and Straylight are, as always, relatively crowded. :document

Is Straylight crowded? We in Brookshir have some free Counties, but all Baronies are taken. I would recommend you join Yardistan.

It's "crowded", but there's a lot of space to be filled. Although, I'm sure Ari would appreciate a citizen who actually does something there.

That sounds splendid. I will become a citizen of Kildare.

Thanks to everyone else who provided information about the other Duchies in this thread. I appreciate it.

I would rather not describe my previous experiences. I'm trying to create a fresh start in micronations and I don't want the baggage of my past characters to weigh me down. :)

This doesn't end here, Arthur. No matter how far you run, we'll find you. No matter how tightly you guard your secrets, one day you'll slip up. It may be tomorrow, it may be years from now. But it will happen. And when it does, SHINE will be there, right behind you. And we shall laugh as we dig your grave...

...by which I mean, welcome to Shireroth! Hope your stay here is a pleasant one!

Surely you are not insinuating that I am a threat to the Imperial Republic's national security...

I have nothing but love, loyalty and humble servitude for His Imperial Majesty and I immigrated to Shireroth with only the noble notion that I would be able to contribute to the Republic.

We all have pasts that we are not proud of. This does not make me a spy or a traitor.

I think we've all done some stupid stuff in the past. Especially in regards to micronationalism. It's nothing to be ashamed of if you learn from it and grow as an individual.

I'm not proud of what I did in the past. Some things I look back at and ask "What was I thinking?!". But that's part of the learning process. If you've matured and become a better individual now, then people will respect you for that and realize that the past is the past, and that the present holds more weight in regarding a person's character and qualities.

With that said, welcome to Shireroth. And I do hope that, in your own time, you choose to tell us who you were.

Would you like to specify the nature of your present infraction or can I just persecute you out of general malice?

I was hoping a census would come up soon, actually, just to point it out.
