Welcome!
Hyperborea is a county under Elwynn nowadays. The duchies are Brookshire, Elwynn, Goldshire, Kildare, Straylight and Yardistan. See the Baronies page on Shirewiki. We have open counties in Brookshire.

Re: Sure feck it, why not?
This again. Nifty.
You're welcome to join Hyperborea, but your feudal position would be pretty darned low. I could also give you Bjorngard, which is in the same Barony as Hyperborea and culturally related, and make you a Baron there (I'm bored with the job). Or you could go somewhere else.

Nah, Steve is (was) with the Sonoma crew, this guy is different... hm... that latter wiki page is a bit out of date...Malliki Tosha wrote:Is it Darkstar? Just rings a bell somewhere in the archives.
... iiiiiiincidentally, Eoin, not sure you mind having your last name mentioned here; If you don't appreciate it muchly I'll see what I can do about purging it from Shirithian history... though it's probably a lost cause...
No-one should be without a parasol, Sirocco.
Re: Sure feck it, why not?
Coincidentally, my wife asked me what a wombat was the other day and I blurted out "they're funky!" without thinking.
Oh ye who torments me in dreams of dark abysses, beware the sleeping shadow, for it is a bane like no other...

Re: Sure feck it, why not?
Ah, Eoin. Good to see you scratching about the place. How's life treating you?
Re: Sure feck it, why not?
Life is treating me alright. I am between degrees at the moment in the same way that useless drifter musician types are usually between bands, i.e. I got kicked out of the first one and am hoping to be allowed into another. So it's a year of work and wishing I was in college again for me!
As for my surname being around the place...it probably is a bit late, yeah :P We'll just omit it for this time around and attribute the earlier stuff to boyish japes.

Updated that wiki article with a (more) recent photo, and updated the secondary school bit. Four years have flown past!
Re: Sure feck it, why not?
Bjorngard sounds good to me, Scott.

Elwynn it is then.

From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

But if you're Irish, you should try Kildare.

Ehhhh no thanks. I tried it back when it was UAS and it didn't go so well.

You. Didn't I blast you into space once?
Re: Sure feck it, why not?
Possibly, I probably deserved it. But hey, New Feudalism is all far behind us now, right? We all make (calculated and pre-meditated) mistakes every so often!

Re: Sure feck it, why not?
Incidentally - your wiki photo is fantastic, has a "young Father Jack in his prime" feel to it. Which is a good thing.
Re: Sure feck it, why not?
Cheers, I was at a wedding in Portmeirion (where they filmed the Prisoner...weird place) and went a bit amok with a pint and a stick. No knowing when we'd come across some sort of giant floating orb after all.

Re: Sure feck it, why not?
Is that just a really old picture, or have you become all short-haired and clean-shaven and respectable in the past few months?
Re: Sure feck it, why not?
It's from September and I had been on holiday in Greece where my previous shaggy demeanour would not make me friends with 40-something degree heats, so I got it shaved short.
