One last departure

Post by Kostalan Rottsaa »

I'm in no mental state to continue. Corey van der Sluijs is dead, to return no more.

I love this place, with all my heart, but I can't keep up. It will only hurt me more to remain a part of this community.

I'll leave it to the Kaiseress to deal with any titles and assets that need to be allotted elsewhere, I haven't the time nor am I in the mood.

I'll visit periodically, perhaps, to maybe work on projects that shouldn't have been left behind...

Oh, don't go. At least finish Project Jötunn.
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Further... since I left Shireroth, I guess I really ought to stop more people leaving after me, otherwise when I come back, what will be left? Something substantially reduced.

Substantially reduced; yes, that's what Shireroth will be if you leave, Corey. Shireroth is ALL about personalities. I'm not talking about that rubbish about "Shireroth is a lovely warm place full of family values and nice personalities." I mean, Shireroth is quirky, it always has been. It's ability to be different- to embrace and at the same time fight change- has contributed to its success as a nation and community. I think, of all the current Shirerithian citzens, you have the BIGGEST personality. Some would argue that personality isn't quantifiable. Your case proves that's not true. I'd like to see anyone try to argue that your personality isn't at least 100 and not probably over 9000.

My experiences with you in Shireroth have granted me a lot of fun, and a lot of irritation, and above all, those two things make this hobby what it is: ultimately a pile of gay, but moment for moment, usually worth it. So I urge you not to leave, because one can't be sure you'll come back, and we'd be missing out on a lot.

I seriously hope there aren't more of these kinds of posts on the way. I tire of them. I'm leaving, it's not that big of a deal. People come and go all the time.

tuomi failed at a misfortuitous time so I don't have logs of #micronations from the time when this was discussed, but I did catch the beginning on mibbit, so my hypothesis is that it's about: http://novatainia.org/Gralus/phpBB3/vie ... f=13&t=700, which in turn was triggered by http://novatainia.org/Gralus/phpBB3/vie ... 8&start=40. Basically, Corey blew up, people pointed out the explosion was disproportionate, and Corey decided he would never be anything but a personification of seething rage so nobody would miss him if he gtfo'd.

In any case: Just take all the time off that you need, Corey, but remember: Shireroth loves you, and Shireroth needs you. Taking that into account when you decide what to do is the right thing.

Shireroth wants and needs you, Icebreaker, like it wants and needs a swift kick up the ass. Shireroth gets very kinky during the summer. :whip

Edit: I retract my previous post. Having read the links Ari put up. This is a very, "TITS OR GTFO" moment. Corey has obviously chosen GTFO.

There are portions of this that weren't discussed in public. Without going into details, this is a bit more complex than that. I don't think that nobody would miss me if I gtfo'd, hence why I'm still checking up on this thread to address as many issues as possible surrounding this situation, and also why I'm not leaving micronations entirely (I'll be hanging around Hurmu, which will either mean Stormark or her own forum, depending on what happens in the coming weeks).

Luckily, I've calmed down a lot since 2 days ago (Many thanks to Nathan), but I still believe it is within my best interests to step away for a few months.

This would be my third emigration as minister. My third in... less then a month! I *can* handle approve your departure. But I'm sure you don't wanna? DO YOU?! :shifty

(Are you confused enough? Then I can now take the chloroform and bring you back to your house in Shireroth. :p )
