Levy the Land Tax for June.

Since May's land tax levy failed, I'll try again for June.

Aye would levy the Land Tax, under LB: XIII. G. 2.
Nay would levy no Land Tax.

Estimated revenues for the Imperial Treasury are 475€, a 50€ decrease from estimates for what would have been earned had we levied the tax last month.

While the overall tax is minor, if we continue to levy this tax once a month it will help offset the spending of the Imperial Government, and prevent the need for a larger tax later.

OK :P But I read somewhere that we have 20 000 in crown account anyway.

19 000 iirc.

19 000 - 4 200 = 14 800

14 800 + 475 = 15 275

To make up for the bounties only and put us back at or near 19 000, we need to do the Land Tax for nine months, while spending nothing.

This is a preventative tax. One I hope to levy EACH month. If we levy a small tax monthly, we don't have to do a large later.

Okey. If we keep issuing 4000€ in bounties we'll be empty in 4.8 bounties. Now. Take into account new cit bounties, other expenses...etc. That could be a lot less. Say we only bounty monthly and only get one or two cits. We have 4 months till the Imperial Government is empty.

If we levy this tax monthly that's 500 a month. That maybe buys us a month or two till we are empty.

So in actuality, this tax isn't even close to sufficient. But it's something.

Remember the uproar when I tried to levy a 2500€ per duchy tax? We had 7000 erb left in the treasury. That tax brought us to are present levels, well higher. But We damn near had a rebellion over the tax.

This tax is both fair, small and necessary if we wish to keep giving out bounties, and having an economy in this nation. We must levy it monthly, and we must find more taxes of a similar nature.

I agree, we do need a budget. I've been trying to push for one for ages.

Trying to get a budget through is very hard since it's near impossible to estimate the amount of Erb a ministry might need.

I vote AYE to levy the tax. On the amount of bounties, I would note that bounties have not been issued for months. As I recall, they tended to be issued every month or two and normally were around 3000. It's bigger this time because it's been so long.

Maybe we should make the Levy of this tax, and the Issue of Bounties monthly, and bounties be based on the income from this tax?
