1. The unit of currency used by the subjects and inhabitants of The Imperial Republic Of Shireroth shall be known as "The Erb". Erb may be traded and owned only by citizens of The Imperial Republic of Shireroth and limited to trade within the Realm unless otherwise decreed by The Kaiser or by act of Landsraad.

Amendment suggestion:

I removed two sections that were repetitions of what was already said. In 2.0, there is no need to say that Duchies do not have to have currencies when you already say that they may. In 2.1, there is no need to say that the currencies are limited to trade between citizens within the duchies when you've already said that. Also, I would like the word "Realm" changed to "Republic" or "Imperial Republic". The word "Realm" implies that we are a monarchy.

That could be up for debate. I would call us an authoritarian republic. The only monarchial thing about us is that we have "Imperial" in the name of the country and we call our leader "Kaiser". In my opinion, the most important part of a monarchial system is the passing down of power through kinship and not selection, election, merit or other such bases (sp?).

I think of monarchy (micronationally, at least), as one, unelected ruler. Which we have. But I'm happy with the proposed ammendments.

But we do have an elected leader. The electorate just happens to be one person.

As I hinted in the other topic, I should think voting only starts when the Praetor opens voting formally, or one of the Dukes votes on the proposal.

3. Voting
A.
1. After a bill has been presented to the Landsraad, there is a period of exactly four days (96 hours) during which the members of the Landsraad can then vote on it. Each member has one vote, which he or she may cast in any unambiguous way to represent a vote of aye or nay. A vote only applies to a bill exactly as it has been presented. At the end of the period, the Praetor counts the votes, announces the result, and if the ayes outnumber the nays, updates the LawBook with the changes.

2. The Ducal voting shall be public.

Since the VC Abolishment Act of 3489, the voting period commences automaticly after a Bill has been submitted to the Landsraad.
