Wait? What? Why are you making all House Mortis members ineligible?

Corey, the Kaiser can't force a new Praetor election. But I would challenge you for the job if it came up to vote. (It's a fun job.)

The reason why I made House Mortis inelligible was to prevent power concentration within one House. But I lift that restriction. I will allow the Landsraad to choose freely.

If it makes you feel better I don't really want that job.

But Let's see.... Harvey might be an amusing choice.

The Khan is known for being nuts... But that would make 2 from house Kalir in big up there jobs..

Icebreaker?

To be honest, given the Kildarean agenda, I'm not sure about giving them the power of the Stewardship.

I am fully confident in Andreas commanding the stewardship. He is a loyal citizen of Shireroth and has been so for many years. He is well-known, well-respected and has worked very hard for Shireroth.

Remind me if the Stewardship has a 2-cit restriction still. If it does, I'm ineligible.
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

But I'm currently Praetor, and I don't think the Landsraad is keen on electing a new one. I'll just wait my turn :p

I could do it, but my schedule is full of massive swings, and I'd have the urge to make CW-inducing stuff.

I just wish to make everyone aware of the following points:

1. Any member of the Landsraad that does not vote in this election (PRESENT/ABSTAIN is counted as having voted), will be demoted and lose their Landsraad seat,

2. Failure to elect a Steward will lead to the dissolution of the Landsraad, and

3. I reserve the right to veto your choice.

Mr Prætor!

The situation in the Council of the Land is deteriorating. There is no decorum. Her Majesty has gifted us with her presence and we bicker and make funny faces! It is unacceptable! She has commanded this Council to elect a steward while we largely ignore her most divine will! It is unacceptable and up with this I will not put!

Mr Prætor!

I demand decorum and sensibility in these chambers!

I motion for:

1. The election of Scott Alexander in Hyperborea to be the next steward of the Imperial Republic

And I further motion, that unless you, Mr Prætor, can command this House in decency and decorum, an election for a new prætor.

I yield.

Get off my feet.

I was, until you, not presented with actual candidates.

Very well, the floor is open. Vote AYE or NAY for Scott of Hyperborea as Steward of Shireroth.

I ask if he would even accept it. He would accept the Kaisership.

And if we wanted Corey as Steward, I'd be more then willing to run for Praetor.

I'd have to Vote Nay until I get some sort of reassurance that Scott even wants the job.

It's not to late. This is the Landsraad. You are lord here over when votes start and stop (following the Procedures). If you want to wait a single more day so you can add a candidate, and make sure the other even will accept the job, then you can do so.

If the Kaiser gets impatient, he/she can simply decree one in place, but can't simply say "start voting now", that would violate the charter "non-interference" clause. He can do the demotion things if he/she really wants, but that would cost political capital.

Thus.

House Mortis Votes for Corey!
