Do we need the Front Gate
Do we need the Front Gate
Do we still need the Front Gate now everyone can de facto enter the Landsraad?
Perhaps we do, because we still need a place to discuss matters. But because we will probably have to add a new forum for that Council of Dukes, I wanted to ask it (we should try to limit the number of forums).

From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Yeah.. we could likely do away with it now...
Re: Do we need the Front Gate
We could wait, of course, until the council is officially created and has it's own forum.
I would propose that we move the Front Gate as an archive under the 'Landsraad'. That way it doesn't get lost in the huge number of subforums in the real archives.

Well, I think the front gate would be a place for foreign opinion also. Dunno, just throwing that out there

That's how its been used by people like Scott and Ari.
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Re: Do we need the Front Gate
You mean, when they're not posting in secret and/or restricted posting forums despite not technically being citizens, exactly like me except for the fact that I was thrown out of them all within seconds of leaving the country?

Speaking of throwing people out of secret forums, I deliberately didn't lock Vasroe out of the SEP when he emigrated. I wouldn't want him to be in a situation where he can't amuse us by bargaining with or even just publicly revealing the contents of that forum, after all. He is, indeed, in possession of all of our secrets. All of them! Oh, the number of irons he must have in the fire by now!

I doubt there will be a time when Ari maybe-sarcasm counts as an understandable reference.
