I believe they do have a level of protection, but it is of an honorary sort-of-thing.

I believe there was either a baronial or ducal decree on the matter of Nick the Yardistani being Count-of-Yardistan-for-life... I don't feel like looking...

If memory serves, the previous Duke posted (not in a decree, in a thread in MASS somewheres) that Gman was now under the Duke's protection in an attempt to create a thorn in the side of the Baron. However, to the previous Duke's annoyance, Greg then went inactive, however recently it has been made clear to me that this inactivity is entirely, entirely justified. So it's up to the Duke - or if he wills it, the Diet - to decide I think.

Regarding Nick, it is my belief that anyone in their right mind will allow him the Countal throne should he ever poke his head in again. As such - and this is only my opinion as a Count in another Barony mind - I think the Lord United Isles should be allowed to remove Nick from this position, because he'll end up there again anyway.

Benkern, I dunno how you set up the forum permissions for the Diet. I have granted you access to post there for now, but I dunno if I need to actually ask the admins to grant you permission...

When I created that forum I didn't ask Ari to force forum permissions using usergroups, simply to save him time then and us time in cases like these. However if you would like to set such permissions up, the MiniInt could do it with ease.
