Were you one of our most effective rulers, perhaps such an honorary would be appropriate. As it stands, I definitely go with no.

I would like to appoint Malliki Tosha as the negotiator for Brookshire in the negotiations.

Uhm. Not sure at the moment. Just got back from an unplanned LOA, will need to read up and consult with Lord Tosha.

You don't have to be so offensive just because I don't do everything like you want it. :no

And I'm a bit shocked that you even considered it as a serious proposal.

I'm a bit shocked you think that your attempts to plaster your name in a glorifying light all over all parts of this country are still funny, but these are shocking times.

Slander! Slander! :archy :mal

Harvey, take a deep breath and come back when you have cooled down a bit.

AryezturMejorkhor wrote:So here's the deal:

Goldshire, Musica, and Brookshire will merge in entirety. The capital will be Musica and the entire combined Duchy will be known as Goldenbrook. If we have a problem with the name, we can change it later. Everything else internal to the Duchies...Baronies and Counties and the like will stay the same and if anything comes up we can sort it out later. The Kaiser will name one of the residents of the aforementioned regions as Duke of the new Duchy.

I will represent Goldshire in these negotiations. If Brookshire agrees, let it be done. Rather, I request Brookshire's agreement so we can get things done. We can debate the name and the like later.
I'm not sure why we need Musica if we aren't going to name the duchy Musica?

Then lets name it Musica and take Musica.

I am all for the name. Are the Yardis willing to surrender Musica to the new duchy? *Looks at the Yardis*

I thought that you guys already had Musica because you refused to give it up after that Musica-for-Nee treaty expired.

In any case, the Kaiser can just decree it so.

For the love of the Gods, we refused nothing. Jess was being himself mostly. Nee reverted, Musica reverted, everyone was happy.

If you're going to name the duchy 'Musica', then I think I have to give it up, as it doesn't make sense otherwise.

However, I don't give something for nothing. What does Yardistan get in return?

I'm sorry, but if I just take land away from an other duchy, that wouldn't be fair for Yardistan. Are there particular regions you can offer to Yardistan in return? Or some money?

I am offering the puppy...

No, seriously. We could do the Musica-Nee thing again. The MCS map hasn't been updated with the last change, so if we swap Musica for the Nee region again, it would actually be somewhat accurate again. I do however want to amend that border to include a smaller part of the land surrounding Nee, as well as return the islands to Lakhesis. Expect a map sometime.

Oh, I also demand that the linguistic features of the area will not be changed.

Awww, the cute widdle puppy!

Ahem... No, that will not do. :p

I'm looking for a fair trade, not necessarily an equitable trade. Meaning I am willing to take the lesser end of the bargain in order to help make this merger more amenable. The trade does not need to include land; others assets can be traded, such as stocks, votes, etc. I'm open to suggestions and alternatives if it is important that you retain all the land.

I would like to retain Nee, but that is a personal preference. What do you think about some cold hard cash?

Personally, I don't use the economy all that much. It'd probably just sit in the bank collecting dust. And it wouldn't really go to me, as such an arrangement would be to pay any monies to Yardistan itself (not sure how that would work).

In reviewing the land issue - what about the little string of tiny islands off the southern coast (above the United Isles) or Benacia? Not sure on their prominence or current use, but they would certainly fit in geographically with the Yardistan's island nature.

Barring that, something more practical would be good.

Brookshire has a fair amount of cash laying about, and Kildare could always use the money for paying for more casino upgrades...

I don't know what Kildare can do in this matter? :confused
Or do you expect that you can bribe me? :document :p

Conclusion:
The Duchy of Goldenbrook with as capital Musica (if it gets it). Is there a second choice (for the capital)?

(And please, it's a joke)

I think it's still something that could be arranged. If Yardistan agrees, I will not stop Goldbrook of claiming it and renaming itself. ;)
