Seizing the Ducal Throne

Seizing the Ducal Throne
Lac Glaceian forces under the command of myself are hereby seizing the ducal throne due to the absence of Duke Greg and the subsequent "usurpers" that have taken it upon themselves to disrupt our fine land of Yardistan.
Mar Saran forces have been called upon for additional support, and the Space Marines brought in to quell any further unrest. Back-up support has been called forth from the So-Saran cavalry and Florencian foot soldiers and navy.
The following military operations are taking place:
-The Lac Glaceian Air Armada is tasked with securing the airspace of Yardistan and patrolling the skies.
-The Mar Saran Space Marines have been tasked with police duty in all major Yardistani cities.
-So-Saran cavalry are being placed in charge of the United Isles policing force.
-The Florencian Navy will patrol the waters and transport foot soldiers to Yardistan proper.
Santelran Rottsaa is hereby ordered to return to Agningas and stand down.
Straylight is hereby granted barony status within the duchy. A more appropriate name (not barony) will be chosen at a later date by referendum.

The Government of Yardistan would appreciate it if Ryan returned to his day job

The legitimate Government of Yardistan would appreciate it if you kept your taboos to yourself rather than pawning them off on us.

Re: Seizing the Ducal Throne
Rottsaa is no man of Yardistan. He lives in many lands and serves many lords: Rather than have the spirit of a rebel, he prostrates himself before any duke and any baron who is willing to take him as an underling. He is a mercenary, a man with loyalties to a half dozen lords, yet none to himself; a man who collects duties and responsibilities only to shirk them, rather than to re-evaluate them with the eye of the rebel. I know not even what name to call him. Is he Santelran of Asantelian? Of McCallavre? Hurmu? Gralus? Toketoshalsk? Natopia?
Rottsaa of Nowhere seized the throne with none to back him up, and now a storm is coming for him. You have my sword, Ryan... of Yardistan.

And with Ari to give the flowery speech, I'm left playing second fiddle as the voice of annoying conciliatory reason.
Why doesn't one of you take the Duke position and the other the Anarch position? I think of Ryan as more the respectable political Duke type, and Santelran as more of an Anarch figure. Then the two of you can divide duties between you.

Re: Seizing the Ducal Throne
I certainly do appreciate the support.
Scott's proposal is amenable. I don't see why we can't split the duties with myself becoming Duke and Santelran becoming Anarch. If that is amenable to him, I will seek to make it official. But since I would like to see progress made with Yardistan, I would like some assurances that he intends to devote more than just the token spam posts that have become his habit here.

Re: Seizing the Ducal Throne
I'll take that as your rejection of the proposal and will therefore assume the full responsibilities of Duke and Anarch of Yardistan.

I don't think so. Must be something he want to prove.
