Memo to the duke.

Post by Gman Russell »

To: Duke Greg Russell
Subject: Suspicious activity

Duke Russell,

Ten minutes ago, a silent alarm was tripped at the JASO facilities. The signal went dead thirty seconds later. No guards have as yet arrived, but several armed intruders were spotted inside the facility. We have several options at your discretion, but need your approval. We await your word.

To: The Desk of the Duke of Yardistan.
From: The Count of Monty Crisco and Baron of Dolor.

I have sent troops to secure the old JASO facility for the posterity of Shireroth. These troops are in no way a threat to you or your duchy. Yardistan now and always remains a friend of Monty Crisco and Dolor.

Then why invade our Duchy?

I invaded JASO. While in your Duchy, the Imperial Government claims it, and soon most likely a foreign power. I was protecting Yardistan.

Don't touch anything, don't cause any trouble, get out when we ask, and all will be well. :p

Talking about the asking ... *looks meaningfully at Greg ;) *
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Provided Erik promises to do no good I'm sure no number of meaningful looks from Kildareans will be sufficient to justify removal of his forces.

ooc: I'll be damned if this didn't happen on the busiest weekend of the year for me...

Gman leaned back in his chair and stroked his chin. He sat in his private library in Castle Russell, peering down at the memo he had recieved from his friend.

'Friends, indeed.' He thought. 'But I don't know if I necessarily agree that JASO should stay here in Shireroth.'

He set down the letter on the table next to him and stood up, walking over to the stained glass window that looked out into the courtyard and sighed.

"This may be the thing that finally breaks our friendship. Just as the history books tell, once again, a Russell must choose between Shireroth and Jasonia..."

'...Gods give me strength."

Then, a sudden knock at the door interupted his monologue. Gman turned around and called for the person to enter. It was his majordomo, an older, balding man of the Russell Clan.

"Your Highness, a call for you from Noir Chief Usa is waiting. You didn't pick up your phone, sir..."

Gman shook his head and sighed. "I'm sorry, Geoff, I was lost in thought." His Majordomo bowed and left the library, closing the heavy, wooden door behind him. Gman sighed and picked up the phone.

"Hello? Chief Usa? ...Yes, I am aware..."

"What do you mean there is a second force in the JASO building??"
