Re: å...
That is perhaps the most legendary letter of any Latin-based alphabet.
I remember being taught (unsuccessfully, dare I add) how to pronounce it by a Danish friend of mine. *Sigh... good times*

But the Danes can't even pronounce their own language correctly.

Re: å...
I was having a talk with a Norwegian-speaking friend of mine today about how weird Norwegian sounds to me and how weird Swedish sounds to him.
And then we agreed that Danish is just inane. Seriously, it's like all their consonants disappeared.

Yeah. Spoken Danish bears no resemblance to written Danish whatsoever. It's all a load of å to me.And then we agreed that Danish is just inane. Seriously, it's like all their consonants disappeared

Re: å...
I love Å, it's a beautiful letter.
In Swedish, "å" can mean "river" (å, ån, åar, åarna), an infinitive marker ("å leka") dialectally or an interjection ("å! jag vill till ån!").
The only letter in the Latin alphabet originally Swedish, it makes me... happy

ah å the best letter ever. I want to learn swedish simply because I love that letter... well that and Basshunter's hot XD
English. English is without legendary letters. We have nothing fun. We do nothing to our letters. Well unless they come from another language like french or something.Maksym Hadjimehmetov wrote:Every language has its legendary letters.

English got rid of its legendary letters when it started using movable type. Poor thorn, eth, and wynn...
