Let's see... for Baronies... there's the Holy Lands, which aren't really a Barony but a collection of some of the oldest Shirerithian fiefdoms. You've got, for example, two Shirerithians who've been here for many years in charge of counties in the Holy Lands. In fact, the only *real* Barony in Yardistan is very new and is called Absentia, in which my County of Mar Sara is located along with the newly claimed province of Western Absentia. Mar Sara's recently rediscovered ancient culture contrasts with the stark emptiness of Absentia Minor.
Much to be done there, but that's good! Finally there's the Territory of Lac Glacei. The Sheriff of that icy wastela- I mean
winter wonderland is a Brookshirerithian called H4773r who was once a Baron in Yardistan. I've NO idea what goes on there... still don't know if it exists in our universe... but still, if you want to live there, you can.
Unfortunately I can't do you a County this second. However just because you're not a count doesn't mean you can't contribute to the individual cultures of each area. I'm unwilling to create a new County since we would have no land to allocate to it and there are inactive Counties right now. So just pick one at random and you'll probably have it to yourself. Didn't I read about some kind of Cyberian suicide pact if any of you meet again outside Cyberia? Eh, either way, avoid Florencia if you want to avoid Jacobus.
Now... you've mentioned you're interested in politics. Hmm. The ban on political parties is still off AFAIK. Historically Shireroth has always banned political parties because they lead to infighting or something, but in Bill's last reign he revoked the ban, and I don't think anyone noticed so these days it's technically legal. If you want to risk it, you can sort out a political party for Yardistan. Perhaps "The Yardistani Annexation Corps Representation Front"?
