Cartographic consistency

Post by Ari Rahikkala »

I'm going through our duchies collecting issues of cartographic consistency and quality. See http://shireroth.kuroshiro.net/forum/vi ... =10&t=9250.

Inconsistencies and quality issues I found:

- North and South Novi Dalmacija are marked as separate counties on the MCS map. I've submitted an adjustment to correct this: http://www.micras.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1637
- the MCS map has Automatica named New Jasonia, and does not have St. Angelsk (in the same county)
- the city of Sakatra on the island of Melangia is marked as the city of Melangia (on an island without a marked name) on the baronies map
- in a miraculous breakout of things-actually-workingness, Sakatra apparently is no longer truncated to Sa on the MCS map :p
- Hallucigrad (on the farthest island in southwestern Lesser Attera) is marked in the MCS map but not on the baronies map

- there's a dashed line in the river starting northwest from Destrykara and leading to the sea in the baronies map that I have no idea what it represents
- the contrast of the yellow city names against the light green land in Atterock and Lumina's Light in the baronies map is almost unreadably low
No-one should be without a parasol, Sirocco.

The irony is, Ari, that most of these discrepancies have been picked up by me and Jonas and we're planning a few reshuffles to fix them all (and then change MCS too) ... we just got sidetracked ... :fish
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Yeah... we really need to make an end on this Civil War so we can make the map we made official.

*Bombs Andreas and wins civil war :tomcutterhamonfire *

:p
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki
Can't you see? I'm crazy! :tomcutterhamonfire :smashy
