Breaking News from the Ocean Palace

Port Halluci, Kildare - 4015 ACS: A Kildare research team assigned to the Ocean Palace reported today the discovery of a previously unknown structure in the vicinity of the Ocean Palace while investigating a nearby wreck.

The discovery was made by an unmanned underwater surveying probe, KROP-22, assigned to the investigation and cataloging of what is believed to be the wreckage of a battle submarine roughly twelve nautical miles from the nearest part of the Ocean Palace. While taking automatic readings of the area the probe sent back some data that at first confused and bewildered the researchers.

"So we were looking at the readings and it showed a large unnatural mass underneath of the submarine wreckage. And we're thinking, well that can't be right! At first we thought it was possibly a larger vessel that the submarine had come to rest on, but as time went on and more data came in, we confirmed that is indeed a permanent structure sunk deep within the bedrock," a researcher reported.

The discovering probe, little more than camera and sensors attached to propulsion devices, did not have the tools necessary to clear the wreckage and get a closer look at the building. The research team is already preparing another set of unmanned aquatic vehicles capable of moving the twisted metal and inspecting the building itself.

The team finds it "highly unlikely" that the structure could have remained watertight for all of these millennial and warns that the odds of finding any major significant archeological data within the buried chamber is low. Nevertheless, there is a lot of excitement over the find.

"It challenges the entire theory we had about the Ocean Palace, that all the rooms and structure were connected in some way or another. This is the first outlying building we have ever seen. It's contents are a complete mystery, and its existence opens up the possibility of more, undiscovered secrets that the Palace complex may be hiding."
