Seven Wonders of Kildare

Post by Jonas »

The idea of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World intrigues me. Maybe we can make a list of our own Wonders? :document

Then we can chose the best Wonder, together with the other Duchies, and make a list of the Five Wonders of Shireroth. :angel

Jonas, one would assume our Seven Wonders are the Seven Ancient Sites that the Time Crystals fled to during the Kildarian Time Wars. Did we settle on all of them?

I think there was:
Temple to Sakat
Temple of Ryvenna
Tymaria City ...

Actually *checks*
-Temple of Ryvenna
-Kitanus Fields
-Tymaria City
-Melangia
-Hallucigrad
-Agnigrad or Aracigrad
-Apollo City

Change Melangia to Temple of Sakat; Hallucigrad to its Library ...

However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Good idea!

Apollo City... hmm... the Lighthouse of Apollo? Or the Jason Spire (now used as hotel)? The Spire is the highest building of the city, but I'm not sure why you should put a Time Crystal there.

You get better time wave reception from up high. It's true.

I think it's a cool idea to have seven wonders. The time crystal list thing would be okay as long as there's actually something wonderful about the locations chosen.

Jonas - the time crystal locations need to be fairly ancient ...

I know the war ended some 300 ASC years back, but it's hard to think of a building that wasn't a ruin the time of the Kildarian Time War. :fish

It was still last year for me, but time did get a bit screwy :knife

But seriously - something that's ~3000 years old. Not something you just built, if you were thinking of one of those, is my point.

Err. I meant 3,000 ASC years. Sorry. :fish

And what... if the Crystal is replaced to... let us say... the Apollo Lighthouse, because therefore there was a small, but very old lighthouse on that location. It was replaced by a new, bigger one, but the foundations stayed intact.

Wait a moment... it was (about) 300 ASC years ago! Stop screwing up my knowledge of time! :knife
Why does it need to be 3000 years old? :confused

Because the time crystals were set up a long time ago, with specific guardians, who were, by the time we had the war, quite ancient. It would not make sense for the crystals to have been set up thousands of years ago to go to places that only existed quite recently ...

You know, you could go a different way with the Wonders thing and choose more modern structures. That would save you all the tedius bookkeeping you seem to be running into with these time crystal locations.

Couldn't the crystals be moved during the war, to safeguard them?

So, can we get an agreement about these Wonders? The Colossus should be one of it.

- Colossus
- Temple of Ryvenna
- Temple of Sakat
- Lighthouse of Apollo
- Halluci Library
- Underwater Palace

One to go. :document

Hhmm... yes, we could construct one new monument. But what would it be? It should be something so impressive that it can be recognised as the Seventh Wonder.
- Colossus
- Temple of Ryvenna
- Temple of Sakat
- Lighthouse of Apollo
- Halluci Library
- Ocean Palace
Maybe an underground city found in the uranium or gold mines of Nova Dalmacija?

Or we could build onto a bit of rp I'm working on.

Castle Durvania?

It is the home of Soprinke Geoma Payne, queen of the vampyrs (check out my post about the Principles of the Hinto Religion). It is situated in the western countryside of Hawshire-Dura. Above ground, it is huge. It is a half a mile by one mile large and has underground chambers and rooms that go on for miles.

Of course you do, so just forget I said anything about Castle Durvania and full steam ahead with that underground city project.
