OK. Elwynn is my home... I've realized that. I am also Hurmudan, but Hurmu and Elwynn have always been interlinked. I wish to remain Elwynnese, let us have an Elwynnese house that can sway power...

It is the first place of settlement in Elwynn proper... Hm. But if you mispronoucne it it sounds like "erection"... Other names I can think of is Kalir(ion) after the imperial house from Elwynn, Eliria after our capital...
Edit: Haha, we made that suggestion at the same time. "Kalir" would also honour the foudner of Elwynn, Scott. Also, also. If Scott doesn't like the name, or if people think it's too Hyperborean, we can always hyphenate it with soemthing else, or end up having "Lewen-Borel", ("Elwynn-Hyperborea" in some weird mixture in Hyperborean. Unless we wish to go back to House of Froyalan
Difficult from a PR angle - we'd want people to join the House in the hope of political schenanegans and amusing cultural frolics, as opposed to fearing random dismemberment...
1. Name
The name of this House shall be the House of Kalirion.
2. Principles
The House of Kalirion is founded upon the following principles:
- that the Peoples of the land between the Rivers of Old, Elwynn, and Hyperborea and its associated lands, hereinafter the Elwynnese lands, form one community and nation within the Imperial Republic of Shireroth, that the bonds between the individuals of the Elwynnese lands are so great that they wish to form a family, the House of Kalirion;
- that the history, art and literature of the Elwynnese lands are vast and rich, that the House of Kalirion ought to protect it with utmost vigour;
2. Membership
The House of Kalirion is an imperial house of the Republic of Shireroth. Membership is open to all who accept the principles of the House of Kalirion and this Charter, and is effected by adoption by the Matron or Patron of the House.
Each man or woman who seeks membership in the House of Kalirion shall introduce zirself to the House of Kalirion, its matron or patron and, if unknown to the community, tell the House of Kalirion of zirself, wishes and interests and pledge allegiance to the House of Kalirion. Once this is done, the Matron or Patron is satisfied with the candidate, the Matron/Patron shall issue the Instrument of Adoption of the individual seeking membership.
A member of the House of Kalirion may resign from the House through publicly informing both the House Assembly and the Matron or the Patron of zir intentions to do so. Resignation is effected after two days of the given notice.
A member of the House of Kalirion may only be expelled and disowned by the House of Kalirion by a vote of three-thirds' majority of the voting members of the House, in a week-long vote and is effected immediately after the vote's majority is obtained.
3. Matron or Patron
The first Matron or Patron of the House of Kalirion is elected by the members of the House of Kalirion in a week-long vote or until a majority for one candidate is obtained. After this, zie may declare an heir. Upon zir demise, the heir becomes the new patron or matron of the House. If no heir is selected, the memebrs of the House of Kalirion are called to elect a new patron or matron in such manner prescribed for the first election.
Zie shall have the power to issue by-laws for the House, to appoint the commander-in-chief of the forces of the House, and to adopt members to the House of Kalirion in accordance with this Charter.
I like Kalirion, although I also like just Kalir. House of Kalir sounds better than House of Kalirion in my opinion. I also like House Elwynn.
As for Patron... I really have no idea. I've always been happy to be Number Two, although of late I seem to do most of the work around here. I would be perfectly happy to see Ric or (heaven forbid) Khan as Patron. I reserve the right to assassinate either one of you should I get bored.
Anyway, I think it's better to have one House consisting of branches. So we have Osmani branch (we must have it) and some other branches, and people can hyphenate names, so Ardy becomes "Aurangzeb Khan Osmani-Kalirion"
I'd only think it'd be fair to call ourselves Kalir(ion) if Scott OK'd it and joined us... it feels much more like a stealing of his heritage otherwise.
