Where's the kaiser gone?

Post by Daniel Farewell »

Weeeell?

If he doesn't show up in... *looks at watch*... 30 hours... there will be consequences :kaiser

Come on Kaiser, we miss yoooou. If you were going away, you could have at least given us an LOA...? We're getting worried, and you made us have a constitutional crisis with no steward. :P

We're in the process of electing a Steward, if people could bother to vote.

I'd vote, but apparently I don't have the legitimacy to vote for Yardistan :C

I generally don't like voting until the Prætor has opened the bill to the floor.

Which is why we need a kaiser, or at least a steward, to deal with these kind of things when questions such as the one dealing with the Yardistani succession rise.

So become legitimate.

Gman hasn't been around for two weeks. That's long enough to pronounce a Kaiser legally dead.

But unlike declarations of death, I'm sure Greg took an LOA to explain his absence.

I'm not saying he should be declared legally dead, I'm saying that I can't see an LOA statement. This is Yardistan ffs, just get a new Duke. What's the problem? Corey wants it, if the other Yardis are okay with it, we have a new Duke.

The problem, Malliki, is that no only does Corey want it, but Ari wants it (I've heard), and Ryan wants it. :smashy

But that's fun. We can have a Yardfight about the whole ordeal.

I'm probably the one that wants it the least of the three, though... especially since it's only been a couple of days since I tried to contact Greg personally; he was hit harder by Carol's death than the rest of us as far as I understand, I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to stay out of Shireroth for a couple of weeks. I don't think he should be de-Duked for that.

Irrelevant. You wanting the ducal throne is still someone who doesn't want me to have it, ruining my legitimacy :P

So if you Yardies can't make your mind up and the kaiser's not here, why don't you just declare Malliki Tosha duke? :yay:

Please don't. I would have to leave Lakhesis to accept it and I don't want to.

As for Greg, I can understand that he was hit hard with Carol's passing, but I think he would fully understand it if he was dethroned.

How about electing an Anarch with all the powers of the Duke, but not technically Duke, who will rule until Greg returns? Sort of a Steward.

Yeah, Yardistan, elect an Anarch. Or if you don't want to do that, just emissary?

... also, to get back on the original topic, Jonas's last visit as recorded by the forum was yesterday. Greg's unannounced coupla-weeks LOA is one thing, but... this? This is the healthy kind of not obsessively checking in every five minutes. Having had people run around like headless chickens in the past because I didn't respond to something for a couple of days, I can attest to the fact that it's bloody annoying to be demanded to be around constantly.

I really would like to be Duke of Yardistan because I've had ideas for developing the numerous regions under its control for a while now. And historically I've had links with a lot of those areas. e.g. I founded So-Sara, pretty much set the standard for Mar Sara, was a citizen of Florencia, so on and so forth.

Not to mention I've been in Yardistan longer than Corey. So I have seniority.

Not that I dislike Corey or think he's unqualified, I just don't like the fact that he's basically waltzing in and taking over.

While I agree with all your points Ryan, isn't waltzing in and taking over sort of a grand tradition in Yardistan? You could always tell him to GTFO and just take power with authority yourself.

Hey! I'm not just waltzing in! I'm count of Agningas still, apparently! I'm merely taking over because no one else has the balls to! :p

This thread is so good because it makes me feel like I am not the most addicted person in micro-nationalism :D

Hmm. Note to self: If I ever become Kaiser, don't go off the forums for more than 30 hours. No offense to Kaiser Leto III. Though he's probably hiking the Appalachian Trail ;)

I didn't expect to be missed so much in the short period I was away (also, I didn't expect to be away so long...). :p

About the Duke-issue in Yardistan: I thought the Yardistani had a steward for this kind of things? It's a bit weird and dangerous to interfere in the politics of a Duchy that rebels whole the time. :document

Let me be clear about this: I understand that Greg needs time to handle with what happened to Carol, so I personally find it unnecessary to throw him from his Thrown. Give a steward the same powers and the problem should be solved for now. But I repeat: I give the nobles of Yardistan a carte blanch to solve the matter. If they can't, I will interfere and the consequences will be devastating. :evil

Happy new year, btw! :party
