Let this be decided...

Post by Kaiser Liam I »

For Shireroth, I shall throw myself under the bus here. I will likely be banished from this place for the treason I am about to commit, but it must be done. Shireroth is in need, and I will not see her suffer for it.

On one side, we have a Kaiser by law. On the other side, we have a Kaiser by divine agreement. One legal, one legitimate. But there can only be one true Kaiser.

We have reached a stalemate. The man representing an entire duchy's vote and the will of the gods is in conflict, leaving us in limbo. We have no Kaiser who is both legal and legitimate, stalling the Imperial Government. For the benefit of Shireroth alone, a Kaiser must be chosen.

We shall leave it to this. Either a Kaiser is chosen from the current contestants or I shall seize the throne myself. Shireroth will be left without one true Kaiser no longer, I will not allow it.

I have no bloodline. I will find one.
I have no name befitting a Kaiser. I will make one.
I have no supporters. I will find some.
I have no gods behind me. I will pray for their mercy and understanding.
I have never made a decree of any kind in Shireroth. I will make some.

I give you one weeks time. No more of this competition and struggle for power. Find one person to sit the Mango Throne or, for the sake of Shireroth, I will take it.

By my word,
Liam, first of that name, Kaiser of Shireroth

Congratulations. You will be taken outside and shot at dawn. Do you have any last requests? No? Ok then. Guards, take this wretch away.

Come to me what may, but this stalemate must be broken, and I will see to it that it is. Shireroth needs one true Kaiser, and she shall not be denied.

I get your point about being mistaken about your lack of megalomania, but this is... uh... not how it works. There are two people who need to develop consensus in order to decide on the next Kaiser - Ayreon and Loki. The people aren't going to get any less divided by anything they or anyone else might say, it's for the candidates to decide who wins.

I think you misunderstand the purpose of this plan. Really, does anyone really want me to be Kaiser? It will be decided, one way or another.

Ah, now I get what you mean. Thing is, I'm pretty sure she will deny it herself :(.

If you mean me, yes, I deny it. However, I believe Liam means Shireroth herself needs to make a decision, and needs to make one soon.

Oh, *that*. Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if Ric and Jake had already decided this between the two of them. That's how we always handled disagreements like this in Shireroth...

Well, this is fun! Even the Liam the Good has felt the lure of the Throne.

Heck, I can't rage at him. I could sign a virtual piece of paper that 'twould even make it so.

Or I coudl ask Ardy to shoot him. No, Id've been riddled with bullets many times for like actions.

(Oh, that's right. I was riddled with bullets - no that was another continuum.)

Let us take this as the gesture of frustrated patriotism that it was. The question arises, do I have a Steward?

Well you'd have to be Kaiser to have a Steward, but the Steward the Kaiser has is Carol.

The Anti-Kaiser has an anti-Steward.

Or in the case (most respectfully) an Auntie-Steward :party

For that to work, you'd either have to mispronounce "anti" or "Aunt" or speak American English. Hmmm which to choose....

Three kaisers? I need to make a map like this one...

Can everyone tell which Duchy / Barony / County (Barony is alright) supports who? :kaiser
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Many don't support either due to inactivity. :fish
Vilhelm von Benkern - The Dolphin-...Count
:: Formerly just "benkern"
:: Rook Sentry of the Order of the Vorpal Blade
:: Count of Mar Sara IIRC
:: Former Baron of Absentia AFAIK, before that Baron of Vorpmadal TBH; also Former Duke of Yardistan IMHO
:: Dux Emeritus of the Order of Mischievous Intent

It takes moo to mango!

Thank you, sir for your cute pun on an incorrect title. Yes, in the States, most people pronounce "Auntie" as anti.

Jonas, you HAVE to make that map. We can put it in the wiki, and further, if people change sides over time we can turn it into a gif showing the progression.

Currently Elwynn is divided thus:

- County of Lesser Zjandaria - Anti-Kaiser (Ardy?)
- Hyperborea - Anti-Kaiser (Scott?)
- Remainder of Elwynn - Kaiser

Actually, you'd have to confirm with Scott and Ardy whether they still support the treasonous Anti-Kaiser. 'What, that he wears shoes on his hands and his feet point sideways'

Actually, the line's pretty easy to draw. Those who have worked with Ric before support him. Those who haven't don't.

Respectfully,

To some extent, with exceptions, the "old school Shirerithians" never seem to have accepted my sincerity. I am tolerated, even thanked, for helping keep the country from falling down the chute last year.

The "younger" (newer) generation is with me, for the most part.

Much like Ardy, I sense a glass ceiling.

This is an observation, not a serious complaint.

Couldn't everyone that controls land in some way just post here and say who they support (a proper name, no misunderstandings)?

That from the man who is responsible for the "Kaiser can run all of the other countries he wants to, screw tradition" rulings.
