Welcome, to those of you who would seek to learn the ways of The Force.

I am Jedi Master Dekan Halcyon of the Halcyon Bloodline.

Most of my Family are Corellian Jedi however I was not born on that green planet and for some reason never fully developed the bond others in my family have.

No matter.

Before we begin, I would like to get to know all of you and seek to understand why you have come and if you truly wish to stay.

Very good. Well, then. Let me ask you al another question. What do you know of Jedi and The Force?

I know Jedi are different from Sith and other force users, and that if you arent a jedi, you aren't nessecarily evil. I also know that Midi-Chlorians are confusing.

[Shyriath]

I have heard that midichlorians are tiny lifeforms that inhabit all living cells, and that these are what provide a connection to the Force. This Force is an energy field that binds all things together, and one with a strong enough connection to it... a Force-sensitive person... can use this energy to affect the world around them.

The Jedi path is based on one interpretation of this ability to touch the Force, which says that the Force has a light side and a dark side. One stays true to the light, according to this, by training oneself to avoid the negative emotions... fear, anger, hatred... and to embrace a passive attitude, to emphasize defense over attack, to dedicate oneself to defending one's fellow living things.
