City names and stuff.

So, with the new vector map being made by our own Shyriath, we'll need more details. Thus, we need more city names for all land we control. I know Mike has already been working on it, but it might be nice if we got a goodly number of cities for all our lands.

Monty Crisco has at this time only 2.
Cerce and Ankh.

Sadly, I can't really think of anymore.

Just make some up.

Nation of Lakhesis has Mortis Mercatoria, Nee, Thanatos and Port Solecism. I'm gonna make some more too.

Oh, and Kralizec really needs a port of its own. Can't really rely on Musica.

Who controls Musica these days? (we should)

No one does.

Jadie has agreed to two more cities for Kralizec, Kelbia and Gatonia, so one of them can be a port.

Also, holding Musica would give Mortis a toehold in Yardistan under the bill I'm submitting to the Landsraad...

We should conquer Musica...

See the proposed decree, which mostly keeps the wording of the Landsraad resolution. In particular:
Imperial Lands are laid open to any Shirerithian interests that wish to explore, exploit, develop, or colonize them.
Conquering would probably count as either exploitation or colonization. So so long as it got developed in an interesting manner afterwards...

*Wonders if it would be unduly partial of him to take part*

You're in the house.. go for it. If you really have issues, have the Landsraad OKEY the take over.

Well, so long as I stick to Sunderspray being involved, it should be all right. I just figure that one of Sunderspray's major bases is near Musica, they have lots of ships at their disposal, they could maybe arrange for a blockade, maybe some good old-fashioned harborfront plundering...

What d'you think? Sunderspray hits from seaside, Monty Crisco sends forces overland?

Monty Crisco will come though Kralizec with JD's permission.

Excellent... hmm... how do we invade somewhere when there is no "other guy"?

Easy...we go in Eddie Izzard style...we make sure we have a flag...and claim the land as ours...It worked for Great Britain right?

VICTORY IN MUSICA.

*Decides to refer to this in the next chapter of his story, too, which he will be posting shortly*

Actually, if we did this on the day of La Fiesta de la B0O0O0/\/\ it would fit even better, since the ongoing festivities would provide some distraction...

A new city will magically appear in central Lakhesis soon. Stay tuned, or w/e...

Plz consider naming a city Markhamburg. Yes, I think it is time for my own vanity city, and itt does not matter where it is, so long as it isn't near the border. I've only had one vanity city ever on Micras, on Antican Suryo, and, in truth, even that one was not named after me. (I believe the Matbaans may have named it after one of their religious leaders who happened to share part of my name).

Eh, why? Have you contributed enough to have a city named after you?

Earn a county and you can name a city whatever you want.

I'm just wondering where the gazillion YAMOs are that you predicted in the Jahangir Plan.

Erik, well, I'm interested in a county, if one is available. Anyone hold Thanatos or Modan-Lach? I might be interested in others--with a name change to them.

Malliki, where I went wrong in the Jahangir Plan was saying that the number of YAMOs would increase. Rather, I should have predicted that the YAMOs would decrease in number as individual nations, such as Shireroth an Antica, would increase in power. But we haven't seen the end of the YAMO--no way! Just look at the Small Commonwealth. On the latest economic treaty, you literally have individual national ambassadors casting votes in a thread--just like individual legislators would in an individual nation. Of course, the Small Commonwealth remaining relatively decentralized has been a major contributor to its own stability, and it should remain that way. However a coup for it would be a better website and more sharing of contacts (like having Foreign Ministers meeting in a council, and interior ministers meeting in a council, etc.). And the cinch for continued expansion of the Small Commonwealth might be an alliance with Edgard's proposed webhosting service--every person wanting to start a micro-nation would go there and get it in exchange for joining the Small Commonwealth. And with the multitude of new members, the Small Commonwealth would have to change its name. Although, as a homage to the old name, I would favor Micro Commonwealth (since it used to be Small and is for Micronations).

Whatever.

The county you call Thanatos is mine. Modan-Lach is our core county, so hands off. Amarr will soon be in my sphere of influence. Take Lywind or Highpass or something. Or better yet, something in Goldshire. Or even better, none. I've seen what you do to cultural development when you feel wronged. We don't need that shit here.

I just checked the map and didn't see those counties in House Mortis, Malliki. I am only interested in counties in House Mortis.

What about Alexandretta? I confess its name is not one that I like, but maybe a higher noble could approve a name change?
