Structure to the House

As it stands we tend to structure things.. well. I got the title, Mike is Steward, and I tend to get consensus from the house before acting. Is this how we desire to keep it structured? Do we want anything more formal? If we make any houses Minor would they have special status?

I think I like the informality of the current situation, more or less... although if we wanted something in writing, perhaps we could do a Convention, like the one you wrote up (I think before the Houses.

As for Houses Minor, I think it would be better to wait till we have some, or are more likely to have some, before figuring out if they get anything extra.

I liked that convention. It made sense. Everyone say what they expect and then see if there are conflicts.

As Duke/Head I expect no rebellions against myself. No starting fights with other houses without authorization. No jumping ship without talking to me first to attempt to work something out?

Does that imply that we can actually get authorization to start fights with other houses if we really want to? :)

Yes. And in theory do it as an entire house.

Would a decent and respectable amount of smuggling, gunrunning, offshore gambling and possibly light piracy count as "starting fights with other houses"? :evil

That's simply "doing business".

Eeeeeexcellent. *signals the "all clear" to the natives of the Patchworks*

Anyway:
As Duke/Head I expect no rebellions against myself. No starting fights with other houses without authorization. No jumping ship without talking to me first to attempt to work something out?
Sounds entirely reasonable to me.

It's entirely reasonable in a "whatcha gunna do about it if someone breaks a rule, huh? Nothing" sorta way, but yeah, I guess.

I'm sure I could find something to be done.
