March of the Penguin ForceThe might Victorious set sail from the docks at Halbred Lighthouse, Fifth Isle. In front of her was the Mariner, with her two huge radar domes in the bow and one in the stern. The Pathfinder was even further ahead, leading the three ships. Victorious, Mariner and Pathfinder belonged to the group called Observer, as that was their main role. They had to observe how the enemy was handling the situations. Each had its own target region. The Victorious' area of operation was the seas and waters surrounding Benacia, while Pathfinder was going to work in the waters between Brookshire and Yardistan. Both were responsible for surveying the ocean and the skies above them. They had sonars on board in passive mode inorder to detect any thing that floats in the waters, including the friendly sea wolf submarines. But that was it. That was their extent of capabilities. Mariner, on the other hand, was not an ocean surveillance ship. She was an advanced missile tracking ship. She had even tracked the Antican satellite launches off Nafticon, on one of her previous assignments, and had also taken part in the Kusinara War providing detailed radar image over the Kusinara airspace. Her role in this mission was to observe the things that flew in this war. In particular, it revolved mainly around the rumored dragons that were taking part in this war. Dragons were myths, and hence, it was of vital interest to observe this "thing" in action. Mariner was assigned to travel as close to the Shirerithian sea coast as possible. Infact, necessary papers were being filled out to allow it safe passage to the capital city of Shireroth, Shirekeep. That's where the rumored dragons were based. That's where the myths will be solved.Alpinist, Vishnaya and Yug were already far into the journey. These three medium sized ships were the fastest and most advanced of the electronic warfare and surveillance ships in the Karnalian Navy. Their role in this war was to listen to the communications of the enemies. Technically, there was no enemy, as Karnali was not involved in this war. But, Shireroth was an arch enemy, and Karnali had already gone to war with Shireroth in the Jaris War. Maybe not all of Karnali, but the most experienced officer had offered services to the Shahan-Ri, and that was enough to call them "enemy". Observing and listening to the enemy during this entire conflict was going to be extremely advantageous. One could easily get into the minds of how the enemy operates and that is always a plus in the next war. Like the Observer group, this group, named quite appropriately Ears, were divided to three distinct regions. Alpinist was to tag along with Victorious, Yug with Pathfinder and Vishnaya with Mariner.The three Sea Wolf class submarines, grouped Trinity, were also divided into the same regions. Trideva with Victorious and Alpinist, Trimurti with Yug and Pathfinder and Trishul with Vishnaya and Mariner. All three were tasked with performing defense to the civilian ships. And if the everything in the neighbourhood was quite, then they were to carry out trial operations, such as amphibian landing, evasive maneouvers etc... This was done to get to know better the territory around Shireroth, incase a need came about in the future.But for, everything was going to be done to simply observe the enemy.
