Economy... or lack thereof.

Post by Daniel Farewell »

In Shireroth today, and in most of the Commonwealth too, a system of economy and financial transactions is in place. I am not too fond of the idea's implementation in Hurmu. We're a small nation... we don't need money. We have all the resources we need.

Also... We're mostly a nation of small villages such as Nururfiskarvik or Cashma House, communities that are small and mostly insignificant in a Shirerithian empire. Most people actually live in rural, even smaller, communities outside the villages and towns of Hurmu, in the deep forests, or the wild plains...

What I want to say is that I think Hurmu should opt-out of the economy. Those of us who still want to participate in the economy can do so, through the duchies (the other subdivisions of Shireroth) and therefore be subject to the economic, financial and fiscal laws and norms of those duchies.

What say ye?

Great as far as I'm concerned. Money means obligations. We have more than enough have-to's as it is.
