We kinda forgot...
... to have an election
We need to elect a new valda. Any volunteers for the position?
If not, I'll do it.

Don't get Shirerithian habbits by losing your democracy.

Re: We kinda forgot...
It is obvious that Daniel Llai is the best candidate.
Still I would like him, if he accepts to be a candidate and even if he is the only candidate, to give us an idea of what he wants to do. Hurmu has been silent for two weeks and that is too much.
Most of what Hurmu stands for is lost in time. We should try to get a well documented nation running and we need a manager who will co-ordinate the work. There is no point in international presence as long as there is no NATIONAL FEELING.
There are nomad tribes, there are cities and there are a lot of people watching us.
For the first Valda of this new era this is an opportunity to set the frame within which Hurmu and it's people will function. Forever!

There are quite a few people who were around from the old Hurmu to remember it. It's simply a matter of documenting it; which isn't always simple.

Very true but as long as it is not documented it is lost. The people who were around are not here to document it. And when we find the information we must make sure that it gets organised, stored and backed-up.Ryan wrote:There are quite a few people who were around from the old Hurmu to remember it. We will have to recreate a lot of docs and write history, fill in lost details .... Maybe some of those who were around will lend us a hand?
A nation needs projects to keep the people busy. I will try to find a way to back-up the information. The board is OK but nothing is perfect.

Re: We kinda forgot...
I'm sorry for my absence, I've been in quite a rough shape lately.
Being better now, I'm glad to say that as Valdi I would work for the documentation of Hurmu's factual history, as begun in the Shirewiki, and represent Hurmu in Shireroth and before the Shirerithian monarch.
We would in Hurmu try and discuss the Brida... How to implement it, how to live it, and find things micronationally and macronationally that seem Bridaic in works of culture and in acts of peace.
I won't do this alone. I would need you, your input, advice and support

Let's get this show on the road.
Is there a procedure for this or can I just call for a vote?

With 60 hours having been available to vote, and with a unanimous agreement from all responding members of the Diet, I do hereby relinquish the title of Valdi of Hurmu in favour of Danial Llai.
