Are there any suggestions for other non-members to invite? Or other non-members who come by here and might like to attend.

I would like something clarified, please. While I notice that the nations are listed, with the representative's name aside, I wanted to know if we had to request additions to those names; is anyone from Stormark allowed, or should I request they be added? The reason I ask is that, since part of the agenda includes discussions about the Court, and I am no jurist, I would want Dame Gudrun to attend to that.

Yes. I simply grabbed the list form the thread in the main SC forum. The Jurists would be invited specifically. As for a general allowance for people to speak, I suppose that's up for discussion. I have no opposition to it.

I suppose we could handle speaking this way:

The representative who is listed for each nation may invite someone to speak for them. So I would ask that the floor recognise so-and-so from Stormark to speak for us, and that person would have the ability to voice his/her opinions, etc. This would also help in keeping things a bit easier to follow for those of us (and I am talking about ME here) who aren't quite as clever as the rest of you. :rolleyes

That sounds like a good idea. Something like this can all too easy drown in unnecessary posts about irrelevant issues. I will try to limit myself to issues regarding the Court and other legal issues. It would feel out-of-place for me to discuss the future and scope of the SC.

What makes you say that, mate? We all have something to contribute!! :)

I'm not sure why you continually degrade yourself. You seem quite clever enough to me. As case in point, this idea of yours is a really good suggestion and it has my approval.

I agree with Harvey. You aren't dull or such.

Yes, but I feel that it is better left for the national representatives to discuss the overall future of the SC. I will try to focus on the Court.

And I agree with Harvey, stop beating yourself down. You're a Viking for Gods' sake!

Name ONE Viking who was renowned for his intellect, and not his ability to hack ass with a battleaxe. ;)

Touche. He was still better known for being a badass though:
Knut, Svein, and the Viking army crushed Ethelred, who by definition was unready for the asskicking he so generously received, and when King Svein died a few years later Knut took over as the all-powerful ruler of England. Ethelred’s son Edmund Ironside got his panties in a wad about the whole thing and tried to re-take the throne from the Danish berserker, but Knut dragon-punched that jerkwad so hard that his decapitated head sailed across the channel, passed forward in time a few hundred years, and landed eye-first on the Eiffel Tower. Then he married the guy’s widow just to rub it in.

I would say he was an evil bastard (all successful monarchs were back then) but he's better known to posterity as a rational statesman who held together a vast North Sea empire, and also was said to have done that stunt rebuking his flatterers by proving he did not exercise dominion over the sea by the expedient of getting his feet wet.
Knut dragon-punched that jerkwad so hard that his decapitated head sailed across the channel, passed forward in time a few hundred years, and landed eye-first on the Eiffel Tower
A slightly anachronistic summary...

I would like us to consider inviting Valencia, as well. They are young yet, but I feel they could have a promising future, with proper aid. Couldn't hurt to help them develop, etc if possible.

Hurmu would like to invite the United States of the Sangunese Crown to this Congress.

Added to the list. When the time comes would you two be so kinda as to contract those two nations, as I'm not familiar with them, and you seem to be.

I would like to invite mr. Gert Geens to the congress. Gert Geens is a Batavian since half a year or so. The important thing is that he is a micronationalist since 1997, was the founder of the Virtual Republic of Flanders and was president or chancellor in the Virtual Republic for a long time.

Perhaps a few reps from the MCS could be invited?

Why? I see no reason to involve a non-national organization. Especially one that is, in theory, neutral.
