So, I will host the league table here in Shireroth. The individual games can be hosted whereever. Also, consider this the sign-up place for the next game, which will be the first game included in the league. Standard Europe. I would prefer it if someone else ran it since I would like to play, but I can run it if no one wants to run it.

The first season of the league will be six games, of which no more than two may be Youngstown or Variant. At least four games shall be standard.

I will tabulate according to the system I suggested and Scott so elloquently dubbed the Tosha system.

The rest of the stuff Scott wrote is not something I will be using, but if people want to, hey, whatever.

There will be no leader of the league, but rather games can be hosted and included via some sort of consensus. I will handle everything about the league table.

Nations in the games will also be assigned at random among the players, except for in the final game.

During the championship game, game number 7, the highest ranking player will get first dibs on choosing country to play with, and so on. The 7 highest ranking players will also decide between themselves where the game shall be hosted.

Oh, and to be elligible for the championship game, a player will have to finish top 7 and have played at least two games, perhaps? Any input on that?

I think that the winner of each game should decide where the next should be hosted.

Also I would like to help (as a statistician, league table backup, etc.)

I was just going to do this quietly after the current game was over, but I'm glad you've taken charge.

Sign-up form for next game:

A. Administrator?
1. Malliki Tosha (can run the game if no one else wants to)
2. Erik Mortis
3. CJ Miller (unless someone really objects)
4. Maksym Hadjimehmetov
5.
6.
7.

The game will start when the current one in Antica is finished, unless it drags on too long and there is a general consensus among those having signed up to start anyway.

Count me in. I think I'd like to give it a shot again. I'm not sure how good I'll do.

Sounds fun. What variant will we be using?
I understand that the JDip program supports the 1939 variant of Diplomacy as well. Could be fun, eh? :document

I was thinking standard, since only two games in a season can be Youngstown or Variant. Another problem is that at least my jDip doesn't seem to support 1939.

So will this work like an intermicronational tournament?
For example, if I won a game, would Ashkenatza then host the next Diplomacy match?

Anyway, sounds fun. Count me in.

I don't think I specifically provided for a system for that, but if you can get seven people to play in a game hosted in Ashkenatza, and it is agreed that it will be included in the league, everything is fine. All games are not supposed to be hosted here.

If people want to, we could make that a rule, that the winner(s) of a game decide the next venue (Scott had something like that in his original charter thingy proposal).
