Economic Extradition.

Post by Erik Mortis »

So. I was thinking we need to make another treaty for SCUE members which would help protect the laws of nations. Say someone breaks the law in Nation A, which charges a large fine for a punishment. Before the fine can be levied, the person moves their money to an account in Nation B. Since the account is in Nation B, Nation A can't touch it. Something to help deal with this with SCUE members as a group might be nice.

SCUE membership would be a requirement.

Ideas?

Did we ever get the recognising eachother's contracts off the ground? If so, this would seem a natural addition to that treaty.
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

I'm not sure anyone signed it, or even if it made it into the repository of treaties.

Small Commonwealth Contract Recognition Treaty
1. Any nation who has signed the Convention on the Establishment of a Commonwealth Court may sign this treaty.

2. All signatory nations agree to recognise all contracts freely entered into between their citizens and citizens of other signatory nations, with the exception of contracts which contravene their national laws at the time of the contract's signing.

3. In the case of a dispute over the contract, any of the nations of any of the recognised parties of the contract may hear the case. The case may also be heard by the Small Commonwealth Court.

4. This Convention may be amended by a qualified majority of the State Parties exceeding three fourths of the votes cast.
What you suggested.
