Baronial anthem

Post by Jonas »

I need an anthem. I thought about the East-German hymn: Auferstanden aus Ruinen, what is a fact in the case of Audentior, but not the rest of the Barony...

Risen from ruins
and faced to the future,
let us serve You for the better,
Sermolot, concordant fatherland.
Old woes are to be prostrated,
and we prostrate them united,
for we have to succeed in it yet
that the sun, beautiful as never,
shines across Sermolot,
shines across Sermolot.

Luck and Peace is to be granted
to Sermolot, our fatherland.
All the world longs for peace,
reach out your hands to the peoples.
If brotherly we unite ourselves,
we defeat the people's enemy.
Let the light of peace shine
that never again a mother
mourns her son,
mourns her son.

Let us plough, let us build,
learn and create as never before,
and, with confidence in one's own strength,
ascends forth a free House.
Sermolotian youth, best striving
of our people united in you,
you are going to become Sermolot's new life.
And the sun, beautiful as never,
shines across Sermolot,
shines across Sermolot.
Mid-version

I think I will go for a song used in CoD. Are there people who are interested to write the text once I have found a melody?

I'm confused as to whether you intend to use this or not ...

But if you do ... change Germany (vs 3) to Kildare, and I'm not sure prostrate is the right word in verse 1 ....
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

No, I will not use it. It's just an example. Andreas, do you want to deliver an anthem if I deliver the melody? :document

Andreas, I think this is a good choice.
