Chronicler of Arms

Query: Is there a present Chronicler of Arms? And may I apply for the job if there is not?

I am familiar with basic heraldry and have the Photoshop skills to match. What say ye, whoever has the authority?

ummm. I'm honestly not sure if we have anyone. At least no one that's posted anything recently. So. Yeah. The job is yours!

I am familiar with basic heraldry and can use Inkscape to make vector coats of arms.

Beat that.

10 years experience with actual heraldry and Adobe Illustrator to do the same thing?

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Everyone knows Inkscape is the only useful SVG editing application out there.

You know, "everyone knows" a lot of things, like that real nations can't exist as voices on an internet forum. Clearly we believe otherwise and it works just fine. The argument is academic anyway - as we are, in fact, completely based on the internet (Yardistani claims to the contrary aside), vector images aren't a necessity.

Did you really want the job? And could this desire have been expressed sometime in the year or so the position has been vacant instead of waiting until the Kaiser gave the job to someone else?

He wanted the job.

But CJ, this new/old fellow could be quite the collaborator, not an adversary.

Can you guys work together?

Meh, why not.

And actually, vector images are a necessity since it makes it a whole PRH of a lot easier to produce multiple different sizes of the same arms.

I didn't know that :/

In fact I'm not sure I know that even now!

Don't argue! I have the perfect solution(s)!

1. You work together.

2. OR you don't work together and one of you gets in service of Kildare and makes nifty coats of arms. We have never enough of them. And I want one for Apollo City... :yay: :angel

I think I'll take Jonas' second option, actually. Chronicler of Arms is a one-person job, and CJ's been here longer. If zie wants the job, zie can have it - If zie wants assistance, I am willing to offer it, but I'm sure zie will do fine.

First order of business is to make Eros Serafiem the Deputy Chronicler of Arms.

I appoint you BOTH to the College of Arms. It's a big job. We could proly use two people. Just do your own projects and whichever works out best gets used. Or we can use both. I see no reason to make this a win/lose situation between you.

Okay, I take it back, you rock. Well played, good sir. I'll start working on a list of existing arms, if that's alright with you?

Thank you, but could you add a sun somewhere. It's the symbol of the (former) county of Audentior. :document

"Former" being the operative word. :document

But it's still a symbol of the region. :p
Please, CJ? You get 10 Erbs for it. :yay: :document

Because Wikia's "upload a new version of this file" thing is broken.

Blazon: Paly of 11 azure and argent in sinister chief a roundel or, on an inescutcheon gules a tower argent.

It seems CJ's landed him another job. But I have one question about Mr Serafiem's comment:
If zie wants the job, zie can have it - If zie wants assistance, I am willing to offer it, but I'm sure zie will do fine.
Isn't Mr Serafiem he misusing the pronoun zie? I ask this in particular to the Chronicler of Arms since, obviously, the person in that job should know.

Technically, no. To the best of my knowledge, "zie" and "zir" are used to refer to any Shirithian Government office in Acts of the Landsraad, Imperial Decrees, etc.

If I misued misused it, I apologize - it was correct usage when last I had occasion to use it.

Edit: of course, for my typos, there is no excuse. Ugh.

Perfectly correctly, assuming Steve doesn't know whether CJ is a he or a she. Current community consensus is "he", btw, and I don't know of any reason to suspect that.
