[Kaiser Ikol II]

This style is now mostly functional and doesn't have quite so much puke green. Here's a list of things I still need to do:

- Fix the bottom of the forum on the main page where it lists users online and such
- Get that "phpBB" in the upper left corner to disappear (but I don't know how!)
- Get Ari to implement a Malarbox, Friendly nations dropdown, and the like

Questions:
- The text box where you write stuff to post. Is it too pink? Too dark? Any suggestions for a better color?
- Does the top banner work on everyone's computer now? Are the widths right?
- Is the text the right size?
- Anything else?

If you like this style, or you want to test it further, you can now use it for your normal browsing outside the Lukedu Center. Go to User Control Panel, then Board Preferences, then My Board Style, then "Guild Wars Alliance".

I anticipate another week-or-so of problem fixing before I ask the Landsraad to make this our normal forum style (while keeping the current one as an option for users who want it).

Harvey: You mean the text box should be gray-er? Maybe closer to the color of the submit button underneath?

CJ: I can't think of a way to deal with the blank space at the ends of the banner. Maybe Ari can. Thanks for your advice anyway (and I think you're outvoted about the green!)

Corey, this text should be about twice as big as the text on our normal forum style. Is that not the way it's appearing to you, or did you have these same problems with the old style?

Oh, okay. I'm a bit worried about how blue/grey would look with everything else, but I'll give it a try.

It might be just my own screen settings, but the pink in the text box does not seem almost-white... pale, yes, but not all that pale. That, and I have a violent prejudice against pink. My initial vote would be toward a gray or blue-gray as well, but if that doesn't work, maybe something more like a pale tan?

Compared to me, you have eyes like a hawk. Which means bigger letters = my preference too. However I could just increase the font size in the browser.

I was, but when I completely reloaded the page it righted itself (oddly, the colours were already changed.

Not a huge fan of the reddishness. Like the blue on the edges, and the text/post colour.

The phpBB thing is almost certainly a thing in the overall header html part. It pops up in the source code for the Shireroth page as
<a id="logo" href="./index.php">phpBB</a>

Which suggests to me that because you've disabled the logo picture, it now shows phpBB. If you control-f search for the word logo in the overall header, see if you find a tag like the above and can change it.

...no, seriously, we started out with something pretty normal, and then people kept demanding I change this color or that color, until eventually they were all changed but it was completely uncoordinated. Other than start over again, I dunno what I can do.

But maybe that's metaphorically appropriate for Shireroth too.

This shade of red doesn't really mesh all that well with the dark grey. But hey, it's better than the current skin.

Yeah, the dark grey blackish background. It seems to be floating on top of the red.
