Is it possible to compare the GDP of the subdivisions?

It would not be hard to give you the option to display gdp from a single province instead of a single country. To compare the provinces of a country would require more manipulation.

Another thing: is it possible to have a different homepage for nations? For example: you surf to http://www.bank.shireroth.org/batavia.php and you have a page in the Batavian style and a welcome text in Dutch without logging in.
In the phpbank, you could easily edit the welcome text at the homepage via the adminpanel (maybe something to add to government accounts?).
