Due to an injury to Nigel Robertson in early training, Farvaelska's Aslan Leijonið has been called up to the national side as a replacement.

I hope he's all right. :(
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Match Preview
With the sun setting and the fans packing in, it is only a matter away from Angelo Perrotta's début match on home soil as Tellian manager. The former Romero boss has started off with a 2-1 victory in Zandarijn and will look to impress his home fans with a home win at the Stadio di Romero.

Shireroth are also with new manager Paolo Ste.-Laurent. The Tellian native formerly managed Tellia and Alexandria, achieving a final appearance in the FMF World Cup with Tellia (when it was Gaia) and winning the tournament and Cibotap in 2009 before drawing ways with Les Bleus via mutual consent.

The Shirerithians will come into the game after playing their first game of the PSL, the new top flight league in the nation, and with players selected from the new league, it is expected that the development of the footballing game in Shireroth will expand. Out of the 18 man squad chosen by Ste-Laurent, only 4 play their trade outside Shireroth, with 3 playing in Tellia's Serie A.

In typical Ste-Laurent style, we expect a 4-4-2 formation with no real change to the system from how he played Alexandria in the world cup. Frederico is expected to keep his place in goal, whilst Matthew Castaraghi will look to come into the squad after Freddie Jones being dropped and the withdrawal of Nigel Robertson due to injury.

It is also expected for Shireroth to play 2 other familiar faces to the Tellians. With Castaraghi being a regular for FC Fiorecittà, Vecchiacittà's Jóhann Vidarsson appears to be on the starting lineup, whilst we expect Eidur Magnússon to come into the game from the bench.

Gary Smith will start up front alongside Cerce's Kurt Lamberti. Lamberti, who scored on the opening day of the season impressed manager Ste-Laurent to receive a call up as he becomes one of the two starting débutants in the starting 11, with the other being JHI-LK's right winger Rranr Kikksta.

Overall, it appears to be a strong side fielded by the Shirerithians as they look to cause a shock defeat as Tellia look to go in a complete different direction with experimental play.

Despite the new management in place, Tellia will look to keep to a 4-2-3-1 formation, with several replacements from the Zandarijn game. Aleksandr Terzic comes in goal for FCF's Simone Di Maggio, whilst Leonardo Bortolotti and Kristófer Jóhansson returning to the starting line up since the world cup. Isaac Mahler keeps his place in attacking midfield whilst Gianluca Salmoiraghi is expected to start after missing out on playing time in Zandarijn.

Alessandro De Laurentiis is still selected at left back as he tries to prove to Tellians that he can fill in the troubled position, whilst Valérien Hertz and Pasquale di Montezemolo are both dropped to the bench as Ivan Comaco and Martin Große are called onto duty to gain experience. Cherry Trees new boy Ricardo Lavichelli also remains in defence.

Tellia will be unveiling their new kit today. The new kit sees a return to Green and White, albeit with blue socks. The team has also opted to change kit designers from Lotto to Nike, whilst Shireroth are expected to play in their all red home kit, despite an unveiling of their away kit due in the very near distant future.

This match has been taken in two different views. Manager Paolo Ste-Laurent has clearly had his mind set on winning the match against his home country, whilst Tellia and Angelo Perrotta are more likely to go under experimentation.

A key surprise factor here will be the captaincy selections. Zibert FC's Didinho will continue to take the skipper's armband for Shireroth following Anders Bjornsson's retirement, whilst Tellia will be depending on a strange selection of Sezer Ozker. The Romero right winger is just 20 years old, and with Pasquale di Montezemolo and Frederico Diamo on bench, Perrotta has reestablished links with Ozker, who he holds in high regard from his Romero days. With the likes of Terzić, Özker and Große, it should be noticed that the Tellian squad is one of the first squads to have many non-ethnic Tellians in the squad list, with only 4 of 11 being ethnic Tellians in the starting line up (The rest consist of 1 Holzer-Tellian, 2 Alexandrian born players, 1 Tellian Ashkenatzi Jew, 1 Istvanistani-Tellian, 1 Stormarkian born player and 1 Tellian-Incontinentian).

It is unknown whether these decisions will make any impact on the game; however we shouldn't expect another 4-0 victory to Tellia. Ste-Laurent has come to Shireroth with the intention of doing well, whilst Perrotta seeks to experiment and check out his squad ahead of another tricky qualifying campaign. Another question will be whether Tellia will continue with their defensive organised counter-attacking style as they did away from home, or whether they will play more attractive, free forming football at home.

Predicted Lineups:

Tellia (4-2-3-1): A Terzić (GK), M Große, I Comaco, R Lavichelli, A De Laurentiis, L Bortolotti, K Jóhansson, S Özker (capt), I Mahler, J Romana, G Salmoiraghi. Subs: S Di Maggio (GK), V Hertz, P di Montezemolo, F Leto, F Diamo, A Perruzzi, A Denoix-Moreau.

Shireroth (4-4-2): S Frederico (GK), M Castaraghi, N Santos Gomez, R Vermidion, E Didinho (capt), R Kikksta, J Viðarsson, T Llwrran, M Graves, G Smith, K Lamberti. Subs: L Sättsa, A Leijonið, K Harmett, D McCann, T Svensson, A Mather, E Magnússon.
