Tellia, who qualified from the WMFA region did not meet Shireroth during the qualifiers, although the former finalists finished as the highest point-scoring qualifying team from the region whilst Shireroth narrowly missed out. The former 2006 finalists are looking to start their potential world cup 11 after tests against Alexandria, Incontinentia and Nova English Korea.
With the new Pro Soccer League being introduced to Shireroth, three members of the national side are now signed for new clubs for the new season: Nuno Santos Gomez and Tor Svensson both for Mortis Mercatoria, whilst Talsin Llwrran now plays for Imperial United. Among them are 11 other unsigned players as well as 4 other players playing abroad in other micronations.
Current captain Anders Bjornsson misses the squad through injury, meaning that South City FC defender Didinho will deputise as captain in his absence. Matthew Castaraghi, will look to solidify his 1st cap after declaring himself elegible against his adoptive country. The Shirerithian-born 24 year old defender, represented Tellia at junior levels however has decided to switch his allegiance to Shireroth.
The friendly will be a chance to see some of the free agents still available for signing in action, as well as the welcomed additions of players playing in established leagues outside Shireroth.
