Quote me happy

Post by b3n|<3r|\| »

Mr Fors,

The County of Mar Sara is looking to officially "buy" (grumble grumble) its Marechaussee so that it will be recognised in the eyes of SCIRA. Here is our Order of Battle.

Can you give me a price guestimation?

-Count Benkern
Vilhelm von Benkern - The Dolphin-...Count
:: Formerly just "benkern"
:: Rook Sentry of the Order of the Vorpal Blade
:: Count of Mar Sara IIRC
:: Former Baron of Absentia AFAIK, before that Baron of Vorpmadal TBH; also Former Duke of Yardistan IMHO
:: Dux Emeritus of the Order of Mischievous Intent

It takes moo to mango!

If you deployed it in Gascony under Anunia, the price should be whatever that was. Price = strength. Of course, you both already know that, I'm just saying it for the less enlightened people around that haven't picked up on it and see this thread and think "Hmm, can I ask for a discount?" If you get a 'discount' your force is weaker. :document

Do you mean that I'm supposed to charge the strength value of each unit, or am I free to set my own prices?

Yes, what you charge is the strength of the unit - that way whichever store you're buying from, you can compare unit strength in orbats easily. By creating special, stronger, ones, you make a higher margin.

If you want to discount below the strength of the unit, it is possible*, you just have to advertise it separately.

*All you'd do is advertise it "with 10% cash back" or equivalent. Then they pay the full cost, but you give them money back.

The troops are 10 000 Erbs and that's without transport. With the light guns it's even more. I'll get back to you on those.

If you mean that you have 1000 L118 Light Guns, they are a further 10 000. That's without transport as well since they're towed. So far, 20 000 Erbs, without transport.
