Purchase for Mar Sara

We've spoken before about this. I need 10,000 infantry and 200 Light Gun.

Now I was talking to Andreas here and he said SCIRA was changed so 1erb=5 Anunia. Will this mean a change in the prices here at the Lamifo Orbat Shop? If so, we are in business. Thanks to a generous donation I now have enough money to purchase my troops in SCIRA.

That is correct. The price for the infantry (if basic) would be 2000 Erbs and for the Light Guns (if towed) 400 Erbs. So, a total of 2400 Erbs. What you get is 10 000 basic troops with no means of transportation pulling 200 Light Guns by hand... More or less. Infantry Fighting Vehicles, Armored Personell Carriers or Tanks will cost you extra.

Mar Sara's a very small island and we don't intend on moving much. Now, what's the process here- I presume I send you the money, and then is transaction reported to some kind of authority? The MOMA? The SCIRA forum?

Actually - I was wondering what part the MoMA plays in all of this SCIRA business.

Indeed, you'd have thought that SCIRA was very much a military affair. That said, it's also tied into the economy in a big way.

Though I know it's generally the done thing in Shireroth to maintain original ministry names for as long as possible- but I think it would be good if the MOMA was clearly defined as merely the Kaiser's marshalling office in the event of wars, internal and foreign. Or, perhaps, we could have a kind of MOMA vetting of any military force bought, to make it... well, make more sense.

Have either of you read the Charter, which I believe sets it out fairly clearly?

I read it before at some point and I've re-read it at your prompting and I'll say that, personally, I feel the MoMA rather than MiniTrade should be the lead agency in this and should maintain the record of purchased and costed orbats as well as accept payments and the like. MiniTrade's responsibilities should be limited to ensuring the mechanism for purchases exist and that the orbat generating companies are properly regulated. Similarly the amendment process should be simplified to assign custodianship of the charter to one individual with amendment rights, after consultation, rather than (potentially) three different individuals.

I just wanted to make sure that you know exactly what you're buying. :) Yes, transfer the funds to me and I'll reply here and then the troops are yours.

Also, you'll need to post an Orbat in the SCIRA forum, listing your military units and their strength.

Well originally it was a MiniTrade initiative that just obviously needed MoMA support to function. The Kaiser was thrown in because, being non-legislated, he has the power to do what he wants with it, if he really wanted it.
Now we've stopped it being any sort of constant war and made it just "buy troops if you want to have a war/for civil wars", it's almost more an economic than a military thing. But since the MoMA is the judge, he really has the more power when a conflict actually begins. So ... it's a much of a muchness who's declared the 'lead' really ...

Transfer registered.

Andreas, what are the Light Guns classified as? Non-Tank Vehicle or Non-Modern Vehicle? Or, perhaps, Siege Weapon? :D

Non-tank old boy, as it will presumably have a truck or some such to tow it whilst limbered into its firing position. Call it an integrated weapons system ;)

I'm sorry, but I just remembered that we do not carry the Light Guns. They will have to be purchase from MiniTrade directly. This is due to the fact that the raw materials for the guns cost more than we make when we sell them. I will return that Erbage to you.

Andreas, could you please return 600 Erbs to me? I have overpaid to the Crown Account. That way I can return the money to Benkern.

Mike, I know you've suspended operations here but I would like to know the status of this transaction. You've refunded me 400erb, so I now have no light gun and 10,000 infantry- right? Sorry to bother your closed shop but I rather would like some confirmation. :fish

I do not presume to speak for the shop owner, but that sounds about right, my dear Bacchus.
