Extract From The 34th Book of Ka'Sinoh

Post by Kingsbury »

All attempts to thwart the demon were useless, no steel of any land could slay it. The heroes of times gone by were rare and those with courage lay six feet under. The hopes of the realm rested with one man of godlike proportions. His name, nobody knew. Armed with a single arrow and a bow of hawthorn he stood before an impossible task, and yet not impossible. The man of godlike proportions, stricken he was, with a lazy eye, asthma and a bad case of the 'runs', had a small chance. Then he was blessed by Biternion for his improbable task for he knew success was unlikely. The man of godlike proportions bellowed; "It's a million to one chance, but it just might work!" The arrow flew and missed completely, but the end was not yet there. The arrow struck the Bell of the town crier, and that was enough to tip the balance of chaos, a chasm opened and the demon returned to where he spawned, and all was well. So let it be known that those with a small chance have the attention of Biternion, God of Improbability, and shall receive his blessing.

Million to one chances work nine times out of ten?
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Someone's been reading their list of Cedrist Deities on Shirewiki, I must say! :D
Mind you, I think Señor Mysterioso might have been a better choice... :smashy

Maybe you should add this story to the page for this god?
