They're fairly similiar, yes. But in my mind, one venerates explosions, while the other venerates gods (albeit often on an individual basis) and has a reasonably rich mythology. I'm sorry, but I'd tend to go with mythology over explosions any day ...

Cedrism has B0O0/\/\ism under lying it, as it grew out of it. Cedrism does venerates goes, but it recognizes still the holiness and the sacrificial nature of explosions.
